Observational Study
Impact of endoscopic sedation on gastric polyp detection: A one-center retrospective observational study.
Sedation esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) has become more prevalent in many countries. However, owing to the limitation of health insurance payment for sedation EGD in Taiwan, non-sedation EGD still accounts for the majority of cases. This study was aimed to explore the differences between the sedation and non-sedation groups in terms of endoscopic findings, such as detection rate of gastric polyp of any size, number of detected gastric polyps, and location of the gastric polyps detected. ⋯ Among the pathological findings, gastric neuroendocrine tumor (NET) was detected using EGD in 2 cases and manifested as small polyps (<0.05 cm), and it showed significantly better detection rates in the sedation EGD group than in the non-sedation EGD group (P = .002). Sedation EGD could enhance a patients willingness and cooperation during EGD. Furthermore, sedation EGD increased the detection rates of small gastric polyps and was more likely to enable identification of unusual findings, such as gastric NET.

The primary treatment of prostate cancer with high-intensity focused ultrasound: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
We systematically evaluated the evidences on oncological and functional outcomes of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) as the primary treatment for localized prostate cancer (PCa). ⋯ Early evidence suggested the partial-gland HIFU was safer than whole-gland HIFU, and they had similar oncological outcomes. More prospective randomized controlled trials of whole-gland and partial-gland HIFU for PCa was needed.

Moving cupping therapy for plaque psoriasis: A PRISMA-compliant study of 16 randomized controlled trials.
Clinical treatment of plaque psoriasis typically involves a comprehensive therapy, which is expensive and unsatisfactory, and some medications have serious side effects. Moving cupping therapy has shown good clinical efficacy in the treatment of plaque psoriasis; it can significantly relieve skin inflammation and excessive thickening of plaque psoriasis and has fewer side effects. However, a comprehensive evaluation of the current clinical evidence regarding its use is lacking. ⋯ Moving cupping therapy could be an effective treatment either alone or as a combination therapy for plaque psoriasis. However, further large-scale, rigorously designed trials are needed to confirm these findings.

Dapagliflozin, a novel inhibitor of renal sodium-glucose cotransporter 2, allows an insulin-independent approach to improve type 2 diabetes hyperglycemia. This current research is a double blinded, randomized, and prospective trial to determine the effect of dapagliflozin on cardiovascular outcomes in type 2 diabetes. ⋯ We assumed that the dapagliflozin administration in patients with type 2 diabetes would reduce HbA1c, body weight, systolic blood pressure, and achieve the goal of glycemic control, without adversely impacting cardiovascular risk.

It is extremely easy for rectal prolapse to relapse with surgery alone. Clinical practice indicates that Buzhong Yiqi decoction combined with surgery has certain therapeutic advantages, while there is a lack of evidence-based medicine support. This study aimed to systematically investigate the efficacy and safety of Buzhong Yiqi decoction combined with surgery in the treatment of rectal prolapse. ⋯ DOI: 10.17605/OSF.IO/K3PJX.
