Previous studies have showed that the high expression of urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA) in pathology and serology is closely related to the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, there are no systematic reviews for these evidence, and the association between uPA and HCC is still not completely understood. Therefore, we will undertake a systematic review of the literature to summarize previous evidence regarding this topic, in order to clarify the prognostic significance of uPA in HCC. ⋯ This study has been registered with the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews database (no.CRD42020150340).

Fluoropyrimidine combined with oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy have become the first-line treatment for advanced colorectal cancer (CRC). Chinese herbal injections (CHIs), as an important part of TCM, have been widely applied as adjunctive treatments to chemotherapy in patients with advanced CRC. However, the efficacy of this combination therapy has not been evaluated comprehensively. ⋯ INPLASY registration number: INPLASY2020100050.

More than 11 million people suffer from coronary heart disease (CHD) angina in China, showing high morbidity and mortality rates. Yufengingxin (YFNX) is a commonly used Chinese patent medicine in CHD angina treatment. The purpose of this protocol is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of YFNX for the treatment of CHD angina. ⋯ This systematic review will provide strong evidence for the effectiveness and safety of YFNX in the treatment of CHD angina.

Bronchial asthma (BA) is a chronic airway inflammatory disease with reversible airflow limitation as the main clinical manifestations, such as wheezing, cough, shortness of breath, chest tightness, etc, mediated by a variety of inflammatory cells, which can be recurrent. Clinical can improve symptoms, but cannot be cured; glucocorticoid is the most important first-line medication. Clinical practice has shown that montelukast sodium combined with fluticasone in the treatment of adult BA can improve clinical efficacy and reduce adverse reactions. The purpose of this study is to systematically study the efficacy and safety of montelukast sodium combined with fluticasone in the treatment of adult BA. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/CKQFM.

Magnesium deficiency is defined as a pathophysiologic factor in numerous illnesses. This study aims to define the effects of magnesium levels on patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) regarding length of stay in the ICU, length of mechanical ventilation (MV), and 28-day mortality. The following data were collected during initial assessment of patients admitted to the ICU with acute respiratory failure (ARF). ⋯ In the initial serum analysis prior to treatment of patients in the ICU, the mortality rate of the patient group with hypermagnesemia was found to be statistically significant when compared with other magnesium levels (P = .018). Apart from renal failure, ICU mortality is higher in the hypermagnesemia group than other groups. Hypermagnesemia is an electrolyte abnormality that is generally seen in older individuals and those with serious comorbidity and it can be used in mortality prediction.
