Meta Analysis
Association between CYP2A13 polymorphisms and lung cancer: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Recently, lung cancer has become the most common cause of cancer-related death, several studies indicate that the cytochrome P450 2A13 (CYP2A13) polymorphisms may be correlated with lung cancer susceptibility, but the results have been inconsistent and inconclusive. Therefore, the aim of this meta-analysis is to provide a precise conclusion on the potential association between CYP2A13 polymorphisms and the risk of lung cancer based on case-control studies. ⋯ INPLASY202090102.

Comparison of the efficacy of the anterolateral thigh flap for perforator localization in the repair of head and neck soft tissue defects patients: A protocol study for a randomized controlled trial.
Head and neck tissue defects cause great physical and psychological damage to patients. Therefore, accurate positioning of perforating vessels before operation is of great significance for improving the success rate of flap preparation and avoiding unnecessary incision injury. ⋯ The anterolateral thigh flap has been widely used to repair various tissue defects and has obtained good clinical results. The extensive clinical application mainly focuses on 2 aspects, namely the study of vascular anatomy of lateral flap and the exploration of preoperative flap design technology. Perforator is the direct blood supply source of anterolateral thigh flap, so it is particularly important to study the anatomy of perforator. Therefore, this study will reveal CTA combined with digital technology in the vascular anatomy of the anterior external femoral flap and the design of the flap before and during surgery, so as to provide help for the repair of tissue defects.

Prevention of oxaliplatin-related neurotoxicity by ω-3 PUFAs: A double-blind randomized study of patients receiving oxaliplatin combined with capecitabine for colon cancer.
Peripheral neurotoxicity (PN) is a frequent side effect of oxaliplatin treatment, and also is its dose-limiting toxicity. Studies have confirmed that ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω-3 PUFAs) had a neuroprotective effect. However, the efficacy of ω-3 PUFAs on the prevention of oxaliplatin-related neurotoxicity remains unclear. We assessed the effect of ω-3 PUFAs on the neurotoxicity in colon cancer patients treated by oxaliplatin combined with capecitabine. ⋯ ω-3 PUFAs seem to reduce the incidence and severity of oxaliplatin-related neurotoxicity, and improve the quality of patients' life, indicating it is expected to be a potential drug for the treatment of oxaliplatin-related neurotoxicity.

Review Case Reports
Coexistence of craniopharyngioma and meningioma: Two rare cases and literature review.
Most of the craniopharyngioma is considered to derive from residual epithelial cells during the craniopharyngeal canal degeneration. Meningioma accounting for the primary intracranial neoplasm is considered to be mainly derived from cells of arachnoid granulations. Nevertheless, rare cases show coexistence of craniopharyngioma and meningioma. ⋯ In this case study, we presented 2 patients with coexistence of craniopharyngioma and meningioma. In addition, a complete literature review was carried out to illustrate the studies on coexistence of craniopharyngioma and meningioma. Meanwhile, we tried to explain the possible mechanisms for such condition.

Prognostic value of the systemic inflammation response index in human malignancy: A meta-analysis.
This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of the systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) in malignancy based on existing evidence. ⋯ SIRI could be used as a useful predictor of poor prognosis during malignancy treatment.
