The number of patients infected with novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has exceeded 10 million in 2020, and a large proportion of them are asymptomatic. At present, there is still no effective treatment for this disease. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) shows a good therapeutic effect on COVID-19, especially for asymptomatic patients. According to the search results, we found that although there are many studies on COVID-19, there are no studies targeting asymptomatic infections. Therefore, we design a network meta-analysis (NMA) to evaluate the therapeutic effect of TCM on asymptomatic COVID-19. ⋯ INPLASY202070022.

Computed tomography-guided coil localization for sub-fissural lung nodules.
This study was designed to explore the safety, feasibility, and clinical efficacy of preoperative computed tomography (CT)-guided coil localization of sub-fissural lung nodules (LNs). A total of 105 LN patients underwent CT-guided coil localization followed by video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)-guided wedge resection at our hospital from January 2016 to December 2019. Of these patients, 4 had sub-fissural LNs and were therefore subjected to trans-fissural coil localization procedures. ⋯ There were no instances of coils having been dislodged, and wedge resection was conducted with a 100% technical success rate in these patients. These 4 LNs were subsequently diagnosed as adenocarcinomas in situ (n = 3) and benign nodules (n = 1). CT-guided coil localization can be used to safely and easily localize sub-fissural LNs in patients scheduled to undergo VATS.

Patients with relapsed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) have poor prognosis. Many patients are not eligible for 2nd HSCT due to organ dysfunction or other complications that prevent them from tolerating conditioning chemotherapy. In those ineligible patients for 2nd HSCT with myeloablative conditioning regimen, reduced intensity conditioning (RIC) are often used. RIC regimens are less toxic but has a less direct anti-tumor efficacy so that RIC regimens are not suitable for the patients with high tumor burden. To overcome this dilemma, Gemtuzumab Ozogamicin (GO) has been used as a part of RIC regimens to add anti-tumor efficacy. We report here a relapsed AML patient who was treated with GO monotherapy followed by stem cell infusion. ⋯ GO monotherapy could be a conditioning regimen of 2nd allo HSCT from the same donor as the first HSCT for relapsed AML patients.

Factors associated with burnout and job satisfaction in Chinese hospital pharmacists.
Pharmacists with long experience and low personal satisfaction from work are at higher risk of burnout, but the role of specific personality traits is less well understood. In addition, the medical system in China is different from that of other countries, and the characteristics of pharmacist burnout might be different from that of other countries. This study evaluated the roles played by personality, working environment, and work characteristics on burnout and job satisfaction among Chinese hospital pharmacists. ⋯ On the other hand, job control and workload did not predict emotional exhaustion. This study indicates that personality is a negative predictor of 2 dimensions of burnout (emotional exhaustion and depersonalization), while the working environment, especially job demand, is a predictor of burnout and greater emotional exhaustion. Work characteristics are positively related to job satisfaction and play a protective role against burnout.

The aim of this study is to investigate the levels of 25(OH)D, inflammation markers and glucose and fat metabolism indexes in pregnant women with Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). One hundred and ten cases GDM and 100 cases healthy pregnant women in the First People's Hospital of Lianyungang City from October 2016 to December 2018 were recruited for this observational cross-sectional study. Each participant's anthropometric and demographic data was recorded. ⋯ Nowadays, the reports on the association between 25(OH)D level and GDM were controversial. Our results are consistent with the view that there was association between 25(OH)D level and GDM, and expand the literature by showing the roles of 25(OH)D, inflammation markers as well as glucose and fat metabolism indexes in the risk of developing GDM in the pregnant women with the low overall levels of 25(OH)D before delivery. This broadens our knowledge on the pathophysiology of GDM, which may be helpful in prevention and treatment of GDM.
