Observational Study
Prognostic and predictive factors of eribulin in patients with heavily pre-treated metastatic breast cancer.
A predictive marker for efficacy of eribulin administered as different lines of treatment in metastatic breast cancer (MBC) has not been identified. We aimed to determine the predictive factors for efficacy of eribulin administered as different lines of treatment in MBC patients. This restrospective cohort study included 49 heavily pre-treated MBC patients who received either eribulin monotherapy or combination therapy with eribulin and anti-Her2 therapy. ⋯ Multivariate analysis showed that ECOG status 0-1 was an independent protective factor. Leukopenia and neutropenia were the most common manageable adverse events. ECOG status is an independent predictor for TTF, while LMR and MLR may have an interactive effect with other biomarkers (e.g., ECOG status) to predict response in MBC patients receiving eribulin as ≥2nd-line treatment.

In this study, we aimed to investigate the prognostic value of neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocyte/lymphocyte ratio (MLR), and platelet/lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in diffuse glioma, and to establish a prognostic nomogram accordingly. The hematologic and clinicopathological data of 162 patients with primary diffuse glioma who received surgical treatment from January 2012 to December 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve was carried out to determine the optimal cut-off values for NLR, MLR, PLR, age, and Ki-67 index, respectively. ⋯ The evaluation of the nomogram indicated that the nomogram had a good predictive performance, and the addition of NLR could improve the accuracy. NLR, MLR, and PLR were prognostic factors of diffuse glioma. In addition, the nomogram including NLR was reliable for predicting survival of diffuse glioma patients.

Geriatric hip fracture patients often present malnutrition during admission, which leads to higher morbidity and mortality. Protein-based oral nutrition supplements may improve nutritional status. We conducted this systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) according to the PRISMA guidelines to elucidate whether preoperative nutrition supplements can improve postoperative outcomes in geriatric hip fracture patients. ⋯ Preoperative protein-based oral nutrition supplements exert beneficial, but limited, effects on postoperative outcomes in geriatric patients with hip fracture undergoing surgery.

Review Case Reports
Mid-clavicle fracture with dislocation of the ipsilateral acromioclavicular joint treated with Endobutton system: A case report and review of the literature.
Acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) dislocation combined with ipsilateral midclavicular fracture is extremely unusual and is a high-energy injury to the shoulder. A review of the literature divides the treatment of clavicular fractures is divided into nonsurgical treatment, plates, and intramedullary nailing, while the options for ACJ dislocation are elastic fixation and rigid fixation. However, there is still a lack of consensus about the most appropriate way to treat this shoulder injury. This case report involves a mid-clavicle fracture with dislocation of the ipsilateral ACJ, which was classified as type V according to Rockwood classification. ⋯ Mid-clavicular fracture with a high-energy injury is highly suspicious and requires perfect shoulder CT or bilateral shoulder stress position DR to confirm whether there is a combined ACJ dislocation.

Diabetic gastroparesis (DGP) is one of the most common complication of diabetes. At present, despite the increasing number of clinical researches of treatment with Tuina have been reported, there are no systematic reviews of Tuina therapy for DGP. Therefore, it is of great significance to evaluate its safety and efficacy as a complementary and alternative therapy. ⋯ : INPLASY2021110019.
