Occupation is one of the factors contributing to the loss of sleep. Although many studies have investigated sleep loss due to irregular and nighttime shifts, the causes of sleep loss in daytime workers remain unknown. The aims of the present study were to determine whether occupation is a dependent factor for sleep duration and whether working status and lifestyle are related to sleep duration. ⋯ Analysis of covariance revealed that both male and female blue-collar tended to sleep for significantly shorter durations than those in the other occupations. The results of the current study indicate that sleep duration is affected by occupation. When determining the cause of loss of sleep, medical personnel should consider their patient's lifestyles and how they have been affected by their occupation.

Tubular apocrine adenoma (TAA) is a very rare benign neoplasm of the apocrine gland. The typical anatomical locations are mostly hair-bearing areas, where normal apocrine glands are abundant. ⋯ Diagnosis of TAA can be misleading due to its unusual location and inconspicuous appearance. Immunohistochemistry for epithelial membrane antigen and gross cystic disease fluid protein-15 is crucial for the proper diagnosis. Complete excision is recommended to prevent recurrence.

Corneal dermoids are a rare cause of corneal opacification, consisting of abnormal mesoblastic tissue surrounded by epithelium. Here, we describe the case of a 1-year-old child who had a congenital corneal dermoid in the left eye since birth; thus, the patient underwent tumor excision followed by keratoplasty. ⋯ We report a rare case of congenital corneal dermoid. We learned that close follow-up is needed after surgery in such cases.

Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is essentially universal in cervical carcinoma patients. It develops rapidly, with physical and mental manifestations including generalized weakness, diminished concentration or attention, and it has a negative impact in overall quality of life. Buzhong Yiqi Decoction (BYD), a classical Chinese medical prescription, could be used for allergic rhinitis, gut microbiota disorders, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. We preliminarily found that BYD could relieve CRF in cervical carcinoma patients. However, there are few trials on whether BYD could relieve CRF and improve immunity in cervical carcinoma patients. ⋯ The study will clarify the efficacy and safety of BYD in improving CRF and immunity in cervical carcinoma patients.

To find out, based on the available recent randomized controlled trials (RCTs), if the nonsurgical interventions commonly used for knee osteoarthritis patients are valid and quantify their efficiency. ⋯ In this systematic review and network meta-analysis, the outcomes of treatments using MSCs and PRP for the management of knee osteoarthritis were associated with long-term improvements in pain and function. More high quality RCTs would be needed to confirm the efficiency of MSCs and PRP for the treatment of patients with knee osteoarthritis.
