Anal fistula is characterized with perianal cellulitis, anorectal pain, smelly or bloody drainage of pus, and difficulty in controlling bowel movements. Ligation of intersphincteric fistula tract (LIFT) technique is a recently developed approach against anal fistula, and it could alleviate the pain of the patient, with little postoperative trauma, which can greatly shorten the wound healing time and hospitalization stay. We conduct the meta-analysis and systematic review to systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of LIFT in the treatment of anal fistula. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/T4FUH.

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is 1 of the most common clinical complications of diabetes, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients and causes a substantial economic burden on diabetes care. The pathogenesis of DPN is complex. There is no targeted treatment method, and mainstream treatment methods have low efficacy and large side effects. Traditional Chinese medicine has rich clinical experience in the prevention and treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, which has dramatically improved the quality of life of patients. It is clinically proven that traditional Chinese medicine fumigants (TCMF) have apparent effects in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Therefore, we aim to systematically review the effectiveness and safety of TCMF for DPN. ⋯ INPLASY2020110137.

Lactic dehydrogenase-lymphocyte ratio for predicting prognosis of severe COVID-19.
To develop a useful score for predicting the prognosis of severe corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. We retrospectively analyzed patients with severe COVID-19 who were admitted from February 10, 2020 to April 5, 2020. First, all patients were randomly assigned to a training cohort or a validation cohort. ⋯ Multivariate analysis showed that only LLR >345 was an independent risk factor for prognosis (odds ratio [OR] = 9.176, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 2.674-31.487, P < .001). Lastly, we confirmed that LLR was also an independent risk factor for prognosis in severe COVID-19 patients in the validation cohort where the AUC was 0.857 (95% CI: 0.718-0.997). LLR is an accurate predictive score for poor prognosis of severe COVID-19 patients.

Diminished Ovarian Reserve (DOR) is a common disease in reproductive-age women in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. The incidence of DOR increased quickly in recent years and had became one of the most important factors that made the quality of women life decline. Gynecology and reproductive medicine professors have made great efforts to explore good treatment methods all over the world. Traditional Chinese Medicine has made some achievement in treating DOR as a kind of complementary and alternative therapy In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in recent years, it is indispensable to propose a network meta-analysis (NMA) protocol to discuss the efficacy and safety of TCM in IVF. ⋯ This review does not require ethical approval.

Infertility has affected millions of couples aged 15 to 44 years worldwide. Recently, some studies suggest that abnormal semen quality is the main cause of male infertility and asthenozoospermia accounts for 19% of the infertility of men. The situation has brought a huge burden to the patient with asthenozoospermia and society. Acupuncture is a part of traditional Chinese medicine. Electroacupuncture (EA) has gained in popularity. Although a positive effect of manual acupuncture and EA on sperm parameters has been documented in several studies, there still a lack of more solid evidence. We hope to provide a convincing study for EA. ⋯ INPLASY2020100071.
