Cervical cancer is a common malignancy in women. The presence of hydronephrosis in patients with cervical cancer can be a challenging clinical problem. The appropriate management of these patients and the prediction of their outcomes are concerns among gynecologists, urologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and nephrologists. ⋯ A higher percentage of other cancers was also observed in the hydronephrosis group than in the non-hydronephrosis group (12.36% vs 8.99%, respectively). This study shows that cervical cancer with hydronephrosis may have a higher morbidity and mortality than cervical cancer without hydronephrosis. Other factors such as human papilloma virus vaccination, smoking, and cancer staging need to be further studied.

Laparoscopic vs open complete mesocolic excision with central vascular ligation for right-sided colon cancer.
Complete mesocolic excision (CME) is being performed more frequently and has recently become an established oncologic surgical method for right hemicolectomy. Despite its advantages, such as its association with early mobilization, a short hospital stay, early bowel movement, mild postoperative pain, and good cosmesis, CME is technically demanding and carries the risk of severe complications. This study aims to compare the clinical, pathological, and oncological results of open and laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with CME. ⋯ The data in this study demonstrated that no differences exist between the open and laparoscopic techniques concerning pathological and oncological results. However, significantly fewer complications and a shorter length of hospital stay were observed in the laparoscopic group than in the open group. Laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with CME and central vascular ligation is a safe and feasible surgical procedure and should be considered the standard technique for right-sided colon cancer.

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a common clinical degenerative disease of the joints, which is prone to occur in middle-aged and elderly people. Its early manifestations include knee redness, swelling, pain, effusion, sound, and so on. With the development of the disease, KOA will also lead to joint deformity and disability, which will seriously affect the living ability of patients. It not only brings physical pain and dysfunction to patients, but also leads to anxiety, helplessness, depression, and social disorder in social psychology, which seriously affects patients' daily life, social function and life quality, and also brings huge economic burden and pressure to family and social medical treatment. Floating needle therapy has shown strong advantages in the treatment of KOA, and the curative effect is accurate. Therefore, this paper will carry out a systematic evaluation and meta analysis of the efficacy and safety of floating needle therapy in the treatment of KOA. ⋯ INPLASY2020120145.

Correction of calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), and parathyroid hormone (PTH) disorders is the standard of treatment in non-dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder (CKD-MBD), but the side effects and adverse reactions brought by western medicine (WM) are still the main problems. More importantly, the lack of protection of kidney function in the treatment greatly affects the health of patients. Although traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), specifically tonifying kidney and strengthen bone (TKSB) therapy is wildly applied for patients with CKD-MBD in China, the evidence of TKSB therapy in the treatment of CKD-MBD is limited. Thus, we pretent to conduct this protocol to evaluate the efficacy and safety of TKSB therapy combined with WM for non-dialysis patients with CKD-MBD. ⋯ INPLASY2020120086.

Previous studies have showed that red cell distribution width (RDW) may be an inflammatory status, and it may be used to predict prognosis of acute pancreatitis (AP). However, there are no systematic reviews for the evidence, and the association between RDW and AP is still not completely understood. Therefore, we will undertake a systematic review of the literature to summarize previous evidence regarding this topic, in order to clarify the value of RDW predicting prognosis of patients with AP. ⋯ Ethical approval is unnecessary as this protocol is only for systematic review and does not involve privacy data. The findings of this study will be disseminated electronically through a peer-review publication or presented at a relevant conference.
