The efficacy and safety of bivalirudin in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has always been a hot topic in perioperative antithrombotic therapy, but there are still some controversies. So studies are needed to provide more evidence, especially the real world study which includes patients excluded from previous RCT studys. Our study aimed to investigate these information and analyze the independent predictors of postoperative adverse events. ⋯ Among 682 patients with stent implantation in bivalirudin group, anemia, Body Mass Index (BMI) >25 kg/m2, KILLIP ≥2, ejection fraction (EF) <45%, eGFR <60 ml/minutes were independent risk factors for MACCE, while Statins, proton pump inhibitor (PPI) were independent protective factors for MACCE with-in 1-year (P < .05). Bivalirudin have good anticoagulant effect and lower bleeding risk during PCI, especially in patients with higher bleeding risk. In patients treated with bivalirudin, female, anemia were independent predictors of bleeding within 30-days, BMI >25 kg/m2, anemia, KILLIP ≥2, EF <45%, eGFR <60 ml/minutes were independent risk factors and Statins, PPI were independent protective factors of MACCE within 1-year.

Low FOXJ2 expression is associated with unfavorable postoperative prognosis of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer.
The forkhead box (FOX) family is a large and diverse group of transcription factors. Forkhead box J2 (FOXJ2) is a member of the FOX family that is aberrantly expressed in a variety of cancers. However, its role in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) remains elusive. ⋯ Univariate analysis demonstrated that FOXJ2 expression was significantly correlated with OS and PFS in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. Multivariate analysis revealed FOXJ2 expression as an independent prognostic factor of progression-free survival of epithelial ovarian cancer patients. Low FOXJ2 expression is a novel adverse prognostic factor of clinical outcome in epithelial ovarian cancer.

To describe the clinical effects of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UCMSCs) combined with allogenic platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for the treatment of lower limb ischemia in an elderly patient. ⋯ The combination of UCMSCs with a PRF membrane for the treatment of lower limb ischemia in an elderly patient is effective and safe. More and larger trials are needed before incorporating this therapy into mainstream treatment.

Major adverse cardiac and cerebral events (MACCE) are common complications, which prolong hospitalization and increase mortality rate in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients who underwent continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). Therefore, this study aimed to investigate MACCE occurrence and its potential predictive factors in those patients. In this prospective cohort study, 196 diagnosis of ESRD patients who underwent CAPD treatment in our hospital were eligible, and their clinical data (including demographic data and biochemical indexes) were documented. ⋯ Furthermore, age, peritoneal dialysis duration (PDD), C-reactive protein (CRP), fasting blood glucose (FBG) and total cholesterol high correlated with increased accumulating MACCE occurrence, while high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) high correlated with decreased accumulating MACCE occurrence. Notably, by further multivariate Cox's proportional hazard regression analysis, age, PDD, CRP, serum uric acid, and FBG high were independent predictive factors for raised accumulating MACCE occurrence, while HDL-C high was an independent predictive factor for attenuated accumulating MACCE occurrence. MACCE are common; besides, age, peritoneal dialysis duration, C-reactive protein, serum uric acid, fasting blood glucose, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol serve as potential markers for indicating MACCE in ESRD patients who underwent CAPD.

The prevalence and related factors for low health literacy in Xingtai: A cross-sectional survey in prefecture-level city.
This study aimed to evaluate the low health literacy prevalence and its socio-demographic related factors in Xingtai. This study was a community-based, cross-sectional survey performed in Xingtai, with a sample size of 960. Participants' socio-demographic characteristics were collected, and their health literacy status was evaluated by the questionnaire designed by the 2012 Chinese Resident Health Literacy Survey. ⋯ Meanwhile, age, male and rural location were positively correlated, but education level and annual household income were negatively correlated with low health literacy risk. Further multivariate analysis revealed that lower education level was the only independent related factor for low total health literacy, and the most important independent related factor for low total health literacy of basic knowledge and concepts, lifestyle and health-related skills. Low health literacy prevalence is 83.1%, and lower education level is the most critical related factor for low health literacy in Xingtai.
