Randomized Controlled Trial
Effects of myofascial release on frequency of joint bleedings, joint status, and joint pain in patients with hemophilic elbow arthropathy: A randomized, single-blind clinical trial.
Chronic joint injury of the elbow joint is common in patients with hemophilia. Myofascial release is used for the management of pain and functionality in patients with chronic restrictions. ⋯ Myofascial release decreases frequency of elbow bleedings, and improved joint status and perception of elbow pain in patients with hemophilic elbow arthropathy. Myofascial release may be recommended to improve joint status and joint pain in patients with hemophilic elbow arthropathy.

Numerous studies have investigated the associations between Vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphisms and risk of intervertebral disc degeneration but the results remain controversial. This study aimed to drive a more precise estimation of association between VDR gene polymorphisms and risk of intervertebral disc degeneration. ⋯ In summary, VDR FokI polymorphisms was associated with disc degeneration risk among Caucasians but not Asians, VDR TaqI polymorphisms was associated with disc degeneration risk among Asians but not Caucasians, while VDR ApaI polymorphism was associated with disc degeneration risk among Asians and Caucasians.

Multicenter Study Observational Study
Outpatients' perception of their preoperative information regarding their health literacy skills and their preoperative anxiety level: Protocol for a prospective multicenter cross-sectional study.
Despite the benefits related to ambulatory surgery such as cost reduction due to lack of accommodation and patient satisfaction due to early home return, it may not lead to these expected benefits. Indeed, this kind of practice can increase responsibility for the person being treated and his or her relatives. It is therefore essential to inform them as well as possible to obtain their adherence to the proposed care protocol. ⋯ Results from this study will be disseminated through oral communications and a scientific article in an international peer-reviewed journal. This protocol is registered on researchregistry.com (researchregistry5834). This version number is 1.1 Protocol dated July 22, 2020.

Long term insomnia and low sleep quality often lead to depression, anxiety and other negative emotions, and often interact with each other. Many studies have confirmed the effectiveness of acupuncture in the treatment of insomnia comorbid with emotional disorders, but its specific mechanism needs to be further explored. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance (rsfMRI) is an important means to study the changes of brain activity. However, the results are inconsistent and lack of systematic evaluation and analysis. ⋯ This study used meta-analysis method to explore the characteristics of acupuncture on brain activity changes in insomnia comorbid with emotional disorders, so as to provide effective evidence for clarifying its pathogenesis.
