Feasibility of a patient engagement and medication safety management program for older adults suffering cardiovascular disease in community settings.
To assess the feasibility of a patient engagement and medication safety management (PE-MSM) program on medication errors, self-efficacy for appropriate medication and activation among older patients suffering cardiovascular disease (CVD) in Chinese communities. ⋯ The PE-MSM program is likely to act as a promising medication management model for the routine health care of older patients suffering CVD in communities.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) can negatively affect men's mental health, interpersonal relationships, and overall well-being. ED has affected >150 million men worldwide, and this number will reach approximately 322 million by 2025. Although PDE5-Is is a landmark in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, it may have side effects such as penile pain, cardiovascular dysfunction, and deafness. Some studies have shown that acupuncture may have a positive effect on the pathophysiology of ED. Therefore, we will select all randomized controlled trials related to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture treatment of ED. ⋯ INPLASY 202140040.

Tonifying spleen and replenishing kidney method of traditional Chinese medicine for myasthenia gravis: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune antibody-mediated disorder caused by dysfunction at the neuromuscular junction spreads. The main clinical features of this disease are fluctuating fatigue, and weakness of the skeletal muscles of the eyes and limbs. At present, the tonifying the spleen and replenishing the kidney method in traditional Chinese medicine has been widely used for MG. The present study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the tonifying the spleen and replenishing the kidney method in traditional Chinese medicine for MG. ⋯ This study would provide credible evidence to determine whether the tonifying the spleen and replenishing the kidney method in traditional Chinese medicine is an effective treatment method for MG.

KIF4A as a novel prognostic biomarker in cholangiocarcinoma.
Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is one of the most common malignant tumors. Although gene-targeted therapies have significantly improved the outcome of many cancers, the results are still not satisfactory for patients with CCA. Owing to the lack of an effective biomarker for guiding clinical treatment and monitoring prognosis in patients with CCA, the purpose of this study was to identify a new biomarker that could help predict the outcome of patients with CCA using bioinformatics tools. ⋯ Increase in KIF4A expression affected the infiltration degree of the immune cells, which may be involved in the regulation of immune tolerance by CCA cells. The results indicated that the expression of KIF4A in CCA was higher than that in paracancerous tissues. Taken together, these findings suggest that KIF4A could be a potential new biomarker in CCA for predicting the response of patients to targeted immunotherapies.

T2DM with NAFLD is a common disorder of glucose and lipid metabolism affecting the quality of life of patients. Due to the limitations and adverse reactions of drug treatment, acupuncture has been proved to be an effective method for the treatment of T2DM with NAFLD. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture in the treatment of NAFLD in T2DM class, and to provide high-quality evidence for acupuncture in the treatment of this disease. ⋯ This meta-analysis will further determine the beneficial efficacy and safety of acupuncture for T2DM combined with NAFLD.
