Functional dyspepsia (FD) is a common digestive system disease in pediatrics, usually affects normal growth and increases health care expenditure. Many investigations have demonstrated that external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has certain advantages in the treatment of FD children, but the effectiveness, safety, and advantages of various methods have not been confirmed by high-quality meta-analyses. This study will conduct a systematic review and network meta-analysis to evaluate the differences and effectiveness in external treatments of TCM, in order to provide a reference for further clinical treatment for FD in children. ⋯ CRD42022360429.

Effect of traditional Chinese medicine-based rehabilitation nursing combined with scalp acupuncture on negative emotions and quality of life of patients with stroke: A randomized controlled trial.
This study aimed to analyze the effect of traditional Chinese medicine-based rehabilitation nursing combined with scalp acupuncture (TCMRN + SA) on negative emotions and the quality of life of patients with stroke. ⋯ TCMRN + SA can effectively improve patients' negative emotions and quality of life and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.

Effects of Kinesio taping on calf muscle fatigue in college female athletes: A randomized controlled trial.
Fatigue is a common phenomenon encountered by athletes in ordinary life and sports. Fatigue results in decreased muscle strength, balance, agility, and an increased risk of injury, which together results in hampered sports performance. Several studies have examined the effects of Kinesio Tape (KT) application on muscle fatigue however, contradictory findings are reported. This study aimed to examine the effects of the application of KT on calf muscle fatigability. ⋯ Y-shaped application of KT with 50% tension over the calf muscle region is effective in reducing its fatigability.

Efficacy and safety assessment of orthopedic device (LSM-01) for low back pain: A randomized, single-blinded, sham-controlled, parallel-group, pilot clinical trial.
Low back pain refers to pain that occurs mainly in lumbosacral spine, and is a clinically common symptom that 70% to 90% of people experience at least once during their lives. ⋯ LSM-01 can be effective in improving pain of low back pain. A future large-scale main trial will be conducted based on this pilot study results.

This study aimed to radiologically evaluate the effect of hook plates used in the treatment of acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) dislocations on the development of subacromial osteolysis (SAO) according to acromion types. A total of 43 patients with mean age of 38.5 (19-77) years who were diagnosed with AC dislocation and applied neutral clavicular hook plate between 2013 and 2020 were retrospectively evaluated. Acromion types were determined by measuring acromion slope angle on lateral shoulder radiography and 3-dimensional (D)-CT of the patients. ⋯ Osteolysis occurred in all patients with type 1 acromion, 7 patients with type 2 acromion, and 5 patients with type 3 acromion. Since the hook tip in the sagittal plane passes posterior to the center of the acromion and the concavity of the subacromial surface is inadequate in the type 1 acromion, we believe that the increased pressure applied by the hook tip on the subacromial cartilage increases the risk of SAO. We predict that the use of hook plates with an angle of 15-20 degrees, similar to the patient's AC angle, rather than neutral hook plate, will reduce the risk of osteolysis in patients with type 1 acromion.
