Persistent kidney illness in children and those on dialysis therapy, risk of vitamin and mineral deficiencies due to abnormal renal metabolism, anorexia, inadequate intake, poor gastrointestinal absorption, drug-nutrient interaction, and dialysis-related losses. Adequate nutritional management is essential to achieve and maintain an optimal nutritional status for the usual pattern of growth, sexual and neurocognitive development, metabolic abnormalities, and ultimately reducing the risk of chronic mortality and morbidity in adulthood. The purpose of this paper is to describe a protocol for a systematic review to assess the effects of vitamin and mineral supplementation in children with chronic renal disease. ⋯ CRD42022341339.

Anti-LGI1 antibody encephalitis and anti-mGluR5 are both uncommon encephalitis, and we report the first case of autoimmune encephalitis (AE) with dual seropositive antibodies of leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 1 (LGI1) and mGluR5. ⋯ Early recognition of AE is crucial. Specific autoantibodies are associated with corresponding syndromes. Our patient was initially diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke. Therefore, we should conduct further study on the related symptoms of AE.

Case Reports
A case of hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis after BNT162b2 COVID-19 (Comirnaty®) vaccination.
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), an infectious disease caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 virus, was reported in Wuhan of China in December 2019. The world is still in a state of pandemic owing to COVID-19. COVID-19 vaccines help our bodies develop immunity against the virus that causes COVID-19 without having to get the illness. Herein, we describe a rare case of a critical disorder, hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), in a patient with nephritic sclerosis associated with hypertension, following mRNA COVID-19 vaccination. HLH is a life-threatening hyperinflammatory syndrome caused by aberrantly activated macrophages and cytotoxic T cells that may rapidly progress to terminal multiple organ failure. ⋯ This case serves to create awareness among clinicians that HLH is a rare complication of COVID-19 vaccination and should be considered, especially in patients with a history of chronic renal failure and hypertension.

We aimed to determine the performance of the 2017 European League Against Rheumatism/American College of Rheumatology (EULAR/ACR) classification criteria for idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs) in a cohort of Chilean patients. This single-center retrospective study included 151 patients with a clinical diagnosis of IIM. Patients were classified according to the 2017 EULAR/ACR classification criteria for IIM, and its performance was compared to the Bohan & Peter (B&P) classification criteria. ⋯ Against gold standard expert physician's diagnosis, sensitivity, and specificity of EULAR/ACR criteria was 0.86 and 0.85 to diagnose dermatomyositis, respectively, and 0.73 and 0.87 to diagnose polymyositis. The EULAR/ACR criteria showed good sensitivity and identified more patients with probable or definite IIM than the B&P criteria in a single-center cohort of patients with IIM in South America. The sensitivity of the EULAR/ACR criteria was slightly higher in patients with dermatomyositis, but lower in patients with polymyositis, than that of the B&P criteria.

The purpose of the study was to explore the relationship between multiple proteins belonging to the LIMK/Cofilin pathway, including LIMK1, LIMK2, Cofilin-1, and p-Cofilin-1 and clinical features of gastric cancer (GC) patients, including overall survival, TNM stages, and pathological subtypes. The expression of LIMK1, LIMK2, Cofilin-1 and p-Cofilin-1 in the GC tissues and adjacent normal stomach tissues from 141 patients were detected using immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining. Wilcoxon rank-sum test and Spearman rank correlation coefficients were used to measure the relationship between different TNM stages, pathological types, and selected parameters. ⋯ The level of Cofilin-1 was significantly different between GCs of different TNM stages. Moreover, most importantly, this is the first study to reveal that the level of Cofilin-1 is higher, and the level of p-Cofilin-1 is lower in the diffuse type of GC compared to that in intestinal type. Taken together, our study demonstrated that multiple factors in LIMK/Cofilin pathway including LIMK1, LIMK2, Cofilin-1, and p-Cofilin-1 were associated with the clinical and pathological features of GC, which is potentially helpful for the diagnosis and treatment of GC.
