Randomized Controlled Trial
A comparative investigator-initiated pilot study on the efficacy and safety of biodegradable microneedle acupuncture and conventional intradermal acupuncture for dry eye patient: A superiority, assessor-blinded, randomized controlled trial.
The prevalence of dry eye, which is a common lacrimal disease, is steadily increasing in modern society. However, fundamental treatment for it has not yet been established. This study aims to assess the efficacy and safety of a novel medical device, the biodegradable microneedle acupuncture (BMA), using a traditional intradermal acupuncture needle as the control acupuncture for dry eye. ⋯ The findings of this study on the efficacy and safety of the BMA would be helpful for patients with dry eye in clinical practice. Further, these results would provide for the foundation of a large-scale BMA study.

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TCM) mimics acute coronary syndrome and is characterized by reversible left ventricular (LV) apical ballooning in the absence of angiographically substantial coronary artery stenosis. ⋯ The presence of TCM with a ruptured LV wall was extremely rare because our patient had neither clinical risk indicators nor a family history of coronary artery disease. As a Takotsubo syndrome severe complication, we underline the significance of identifying, diagnosing, and treating it.

To explore the relationship between hypertension and physical activity (PA) in the middle-aged and elderly after controlling demographic characteristics, chronic diseases and mental health variables. The 2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) was used to collect the data. A baseline survey of middle-aged and older people was carried out nationally using the PPS sample method to look into their demographic, health state, and other information. ⋯ There was still a statistically significant relationship between PA and hypertension (P < .05) after controlling demographic factors (gender, age, household registration type, education level, widowhood), chronic disease (arthritis, diabetes, disability, asthma, self-assessment of health, memory disease, stroke, hyperlipidemia) and mental health variables (bad mood and depression). High-level PA is significantly related to the low risk of hypertension. After controlling demographic characteristics, chronic diseases and mental health variables, this correlation is still significant.

There is no standardization in videos uploaded to Youtube. Were the videos capable of contributing to adequate technical quality and surgical training? We are aiming to answer these questions in this paper. It is a cross-sectional study. ⋯ There was no significant difference in the evaluation of the reliability and substantiality. Until the development of Youtube videos is completed, peer-reviewed, more reliable and content-rich online education platforms should be preferred in the first place. Care should be taken to watch selected videos on Youtube videos.

Case Reports
Rectal ectopic pregnancy after in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer: A case report.
Rectal ectopic pregnancy is an extremely rare abdominal pregnancy. This article presents a female underwent an unsuccessful in vitro fertilization which was misdiagnosed by serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) test and transvaginal ultrasonography. Twenty days later, a ruptured rectal ectopic pregnancy was confirmed by laparoscopy then the gestational tissue removed successfully. ⋯ When the history of in vitro fertilization combined with an inappropriate rise of serum β-hCG and no visible evidence of an intra-uterine pregnancy, physicians should consider the possibility of abdominal pregnancy. Early diagnosis of abdominal pregnancy can effectively save the life of the pregnant woman.
