Oligometastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is potentially curable. Oligo-recurrence occurs with oligometastatic disease characterized by well-controlled primary lesion. The purpose of the present study was to explore the value of definitive local therapy (DLT) for extracranial single-organ oligorecurrent NSCLC. ⋯ The 5-year OS rate also improved, but the improvement was not significant. For extracranial single-organ oligorecurrent NSCLC, PFS was significantly superior in patients receiving DLT. Among them, for the subgroup of patients who did not receive specific TKI therapy, DLT is expected to improve long-term prognostic outcomes.

Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is an effective treatment for coronary heart disease (CHD). With the merits of small trauma and high success rate, PCI can promote the fast recovery of CHD patients and greatly improve their prognosis and quality of life. However, because PCI does not eliminate the pathogenic factors that lead to atherosclerosis, major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) often occur after PCI. These events have become one of the principal factors affecting the long-term outcome of patients after PCI. In China, increasing attention is paid to the use of acupuncture combined with Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction (XFZYD) for the treatment of post-PCI MACEs in clinical practice. Nevertheless, this treatment approach still lacks evidence-based medical evaluation. In this study, a meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture combined with XFZYD in the treatment of MACEs after PCI. ⋯ This study will summarize the latest evidence for the efficacy and safety of acupuncture combined with XFZYD in the treatment of MACEs after PCI.REGISTRATION NUMBER: CRD42022365657.

Ophiocordyceps sinensis(O. sinensis), a genus of ascomycete fungi, has been intensively studied in various disease models, which is a rich source of various bioactive compounds and used in the treatment for end-stage renal disease patients. This systematic review highlights the therapeutic roles of O. sinensis as adjuvant treatment for dialysis patients with clinical evidence. ⋯ Studies have reported positive results of O. sinensis as adjuvant treatment for patients with dialysis. This review will synthesis current evidence on how O. sinensis can improve dialysis. Thus, it is expected that robust and conclusive evidence of the effects of O. sinensis during or after treatment can be obtained. These findings can inform future research and the selection of O. sinensis to promote quality of life for people with dialysis.

The relationship between weight gain and progression of IgA nephropathy (IgAN) has been investigated by many researchers but remains controversial. The incidence of IgAN is significantly higher in Asia than in other regions. Therefore, we investigated the relationship between weight gain and primary IgAN in the Asian population. ⋯ In this study, Asian IgAN patients with different BMI were grouped together to clarify the relationship between BMI and IgAN progression in Asian populations, so as to provide more ideas and treatment means for the prevention and treatment of IgAN in the future.

Increasing evidence supports the efficacy and safety of prostatic artery embolization (PAE) in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. However, PAE relies on ionizing radiation, which has not been studied systematically so far. Therefore, the potential associated risks remain largely unknown and are subject to intense debate. We performed a protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the clinical benefits of different radiation doses in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia undergoing PAE. ⋯ This review will provide reliable evidence for extensive application of PAE for benign prostatic hyperplasia and determine the most rational radiation dose for these patients.
