Colorectal cancer (CRC) is second most commonly diagnosed cancer with high morbidity and mortality. The heterogeneity of CRC makes clinical treatment tremendously challenging. Here, we aimed to comprehensively analyze the prognosis of CRC patients based on ANOIKIS- and immune-related genes. ⋯ Notably, the age, pathologic T, and risk score could be used independent indicators for CRC prognosis prediction. A nomogram containing the independent prognostic factors showed that the nomogram accurately predicted 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates of CRC patients. In our research, a novel prognostic model was developed based on ANOIKIS- and immune-related genes in CRC, which could be used for prognostic prediction of CRC patients.

Review Case Reports
Refractory psychiatric symptoms and seizure associated with Dandy-Walker syndrome: A case report and literature review.
Dandy-Walker syndrome (DWS) is a group of brain malformations which occasionally accompanied by psychotic symptoms. The co-occurrence of DWS and epilepsy in children is quite rare. ⋯ VPS placement surgery at an earlier stage may be an effective way to avoid inevitable brain damage so as to improve the clinical outcomes for patients with DWS. Continued treatment with regard to DWS condition may include shunt placement, but it mainly focus on developmental concerns, with occupational and physical therapy along with ongoing supportive psychotherapy to improve the coping skills and quality of life.

Diagnosis of viral meningitis (VM) is uncommon practice in Sudan and there is no local viral etiological map. We therefore intended to differentiate VM using standardized clinical codes and determine the involvement of herpes simplex virus types-1 and 2 (HSV-1/2), varicella zoster virus, non-polio human enteroviruses (HEVs), and human parechoviruses in meningeal infections in children in Sudan. This is a cross-sectional hospital-based study. ⋯ Virus detection rate was 10% among cases with proven infectious meningitis. Detected viruses were HSV-1 and non-polio HEVs. Positive virus PCRs in CSFs with normal cellular counts were seen.

Meta Analysis
Prognostic value of tumor size in thymic epithelial tumors: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Whether the size of thymic epithelial tumors (TETs) has an impact on prognosis has long been a controversial issue. Our study was designed to investigate the value of tumor size in the prognosis (overall survival (OS) and relapse-free survival) of patients with TETs. ⋯ In conclusion, the results of our meta-analysis showed that TET size was significantly associated with overall and relapse-free survival of patients, with relatively small tumors tending to have a better prognosis.
