Review Case Reports
Management of a uterine serosal heterotopic pregnancy after in vitro fertilization in a woman with bilateral salpingectomy: A case report and literature review.
Heterotopic pregnancy (HP) is defined as the simultaneous presence of intrauterine pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy (EP). HP after bilateral salpingectomy is extremely rare and may lead to serious complications if it is misdiagnosed and untreated timely. Here, we presented the first reported case of uterine serosal HP in a woman after assisted reproductive technology with bilateral salpingectomy because of bilateral tubal ectopic pregnancy. ⋯ It is noteworthy that HP/ectopic pregnancy is still not prevented after bilateral salpingectomy. In cases of multiple embryo transfer, even if intrauterine pregnancy has been established, it is important to rule out HP/ectopic pregnancy in time. Early diagnosis and early management can significantly improve clinical outcomes.

We describe a case of a rupture-mediated large uterine defect, which occurred on the 30th gestation week presenting a protruding amniotic sac sac without fetal compromise after a laparoscopic electromyolysis. ⋯ Before myomectomy or electromyolysis, patients should be informed of the possibility of uterine rupture during subsequent pregnancies. If a pregnant woman has abdominal pain, clinicians should take a detailed history of uterine surgery and consider uterine rupture. Although, fortunately, the outcomes in this case were uneventful, urgent delivery is required when uterine rupture is diagnosed.

Meta Analysis
Effectiveness of self-management of dry and wet cupping therapy for low back pain: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Low back pain (LBP) can significantly affect a person's quality of life. Cupping has been used to treat LBP. However, various cupping methods are typically included in evaluating the efficacy of cupping therapy. Therefore, the objectives of this study were to evaluate the evidence from the literature regarding the effects of dry and wet cupping therapy on LBP in adults. Dry and wet cupping therapy are analyzed categorically in this study. ⋯ The present meta-analysis shows that wet cupping therapy effectively reduces the pain intensity of LBP. Furthermore, both dry wet cupping therapy improved patients with LBP quality of life.

Conventional transrectal ultrasonography (TRUS) guided prostate biopsy is the standard method for accurate diagnosis of prostate cancer (PCa). However, the limitations of this technique in terms of missed diagnosis cannot be ignored. Based on previous studies, contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) may be able to more distinctly detect malignant lesions with increased microvessels. Therefore, to evaluate the diagnostic efficiency and clinical application prospects of CEUS-guided prostate biopsy for patients with suspected PCa, we performed a meta-analysis comparing CEUS-targeted with TRUS-guided systematic biopsy. ⋯ CEUS showed the advantage of a higher detection rate of clinically significant PCa, which might provide more specific indications for subsequent treatment. More feasible, real-time data are required to confirm our findings.

Alterations in the gut microbiome usually occur in liver cirrhosis. Gut microbiome dysregulation damages the liver and accelerates the development of liver fibrosis. Probiotic treatment has gradually become a major method for improving the prognosis of liver cirrhosis and reducing its complications. However, alterations in the gut microbiome have revealed different results, and the therapeutic effects of various probiotics are inconsistent. ⋯ In summary, the gut microbiome in cirrhosis manifests as decreased counts of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium and increased counts of Enterobacter and Enterococcus. Targeted supplementation of probiotics in cirrhosis, including Lactobacillus combined with Bifidobacterium or Bifidobacterium alone, can reduce blood ammonia and the incidence of hepatic encephalopathy. The effect is similar to that of lactulose, but it has no obvious effect on mortality and spontaneous bacterial peritonitis.
