Granular cell tumor (GCT) of the vulva is an exceptionally rare female genital tract tumor. The majority of these are benign and there are no standardized surgical techniques for the special site to reduce tension of the wound. ⋯ Surgery with negative resection margins is the mainstay for benign GCT of the vulva, while Z-plasty is appropriate for decreasing the tension of the wound and improving aesthetic reduction.

To compare the clinical characteristics of complete Kawasaki disease (KD) and incomplete Kawasaki disease (IKD), and analyze the possible risk factors of coronary artery lesion (CAL) in KD. The clinical data of 139 children with KD admitted to the hospital from January 2016 to June 2022 were analyzed retrospectively. The differences of clinical characteristics between children with KD and children with IKD were compared. ⋯ The clinical manifestation of children with IKD is not typical. Compared with KD children, the fever time is longer and the incidence of CAL is higher. Under-age, increased NT-proBNP and decreased Hb may be independent risk factors for CAL in KD children.

Diabetes mellitus patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (DMTB) comorbidity has been recognized as a major obstacle towards achieving the World Health Organization goal of reducing the tuberculosis incidence rate by 90% in 2035. Host immune responses affected by diabetes can lead to increased susceptibility, severity and poor treatment outcomes in DMTB patients, and the underlying mechanisms have not yet been fully elucidated. This study aimed to identify key immunological and cellular components that contribute to increased morbidity and mortality in DMTB cases. ⋯ The DMTB comorbidity is associated with an altered transcriptome and changes in various biological pathways. Our study provides new insights on the pathological mechanism that may aid the development of host-directed therapies for this increasingly prevalent disease in high TB burden countries.

Acute exertional osteofascial compartment syndrome (OCS) is a rare cause of lower-leg pain and is often associated with delayed diagnosis, which can lead to irreversible muscle and nerve damage. ⋯ OCS in the absence of trauma or fracture is rare, but treatment delays can have devastating consequences. Acute nontraumatic OCS requires prompt diagnosis and surgical intervention to prevent adverse outcomes. VSD is an effective surgical treatment for this disease.

This study investigated the effects of resistance exercises using elastic bands on stress, lower extremity edema, and body composition in intensive care unit nurses. ⋯ Resistance exercises using the TheraBand can be an intervention to decrease stress and improve lower extremity body composition in intensive care unit nurses.
