Effects of Shenxiang Suhe Pill on coronary heart disease complicated with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease: A case-control study.
To observe the clinical effect of Shenxiang Suhe Pill in the treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD) patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). ⋯ Shenxiang Suhe Pills has a significant overall curative effect in the treatment of patients with CHD complicated with NAFLD. It can reduce liver lipid deposition, reduce the severity of NAFLD, and has lipid-lowering and anti -inflammatory effects.

Covid-19 has serious sequelae that may be poorly understood, underreported, and, as a result, not diagnosed promptly, such as variations in clinical manifestations of hyperinflammation among people infected with SARS-CoV-2. ophthalmoplegia can be one of these manifestations. ⋯ Ophthalmoplegia is considered presenting symptom of Covid-19. Further research is needed to detect all neuro-ophthalmological manifestations of Covid-19.

The purpose of this study was to investigate lymphoscintigraphy pattern according to the presence or absence of axillary site radiation therapy (aRTx) in breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) patients who underwent sentinel lymph node dissection (SLND). The participants were patients who visited our facility from July 2014 to June 2021 due to upper extremity edema. Among them, patients who underwent SLND after the diagnosis of breast cancer were included. ⋯ And 24.2% of patients who developed lymphedema after SLND showed normal lymphoscintigraphy. In this study we suggest that SLND and aRTx affects the activity of the axillary lymph node and ultimately adversely affects lymphatic flow, becoming a risk factor for lymphedema. In addition, regardless of SLND or aRTx, lymphedema may eventually occur in the patient with normal lymphoscintigraphy.

Expansion of intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) is an important predictor of poor clinical outcomes. Various imaging markers on non-contrast computed tomography (NCCT) or computed tomographic angiography (CTA) have been reported as predictors of ICH expansion. We aimed to compare the associations between various CT imaging markers and ICH expansion. ⋯ Multivariate analysis confirmed that the presence of initial IVH (odds ratio, 4.111; P = .002) and spot sign (odds ratio, 109.5; P < .001) were independent predictors of ICH expansion. Initial ICH volume, IVH, swirl sign, and spot sign are associated with ICH expansion. The presence of spot signs and IVH were independent predictors of ICH expansion.

The present study aimed to analyze the risk factors influencing the in vitro fertilization embryo transfer (IVF-ET) pregnancy and to construct a prediction model for clinical pregnancy outcome in patients receiving IVF-ET based on the predictors. In this nested case-control study, the data of 369 women receiving IVF-ET were enrolled. Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analyses were conducted to identify the potential predictors. ⋯ The importance of variables was shown according to Mean Decrease Gini. The data delineated that age (odds ratio [OR]= 1.093, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.036-1.156, P = .0010), body mass index (BMI) (OR = 1.094, 95%CI: 1.021-1.176, P = .012), 3 cycles (OR = 0.144, 95%CI: 0.028-0.534, P = .008), hematocrit (HCT) (OR = 0.865, 95% CI: 0.791-0.943, P = .001), luteinizing hormone (LH) (OR = 0.678, 95%CI: 0.549-0.823, P < .001), progesterone (P) (OR = 2.126, 95%CI: 1.112-4.141, P = .024), endometrial thickness (OR = 0.132, 95%CI: 0.034-0.496, P = .003) and FSH (OR = 1.151, 95%CI: 1.043-1.275, P = .006) were predictors associated with the clinical pregnancy outcome of patients receiving IVF-ET. The results might provide a novel method to identify patients receiving IVF-ET with a high risk of poor pregnancy outcomes and provide interventions in those patients to prevent the occurrence of poor pregnancy outcomes.
