To investigate the relationship between lipid accumulation index and cerebral hemodynamic integral value in 3264 people undergoing physical examination, so as to analyze the correlation between different lipid accumulation product index (LAP) levels and stroke risk factors. ⋯ There is a positive correlation between LAP and CVHI, the higher the LAP, the higher the risk of CVHI abnormality, which should be concerned seriously.

Exercise intolerance was prevalent in people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and had a detrimental effect on the quality of life. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of nitrate supplementation in exercise tolerance of people with COPD. ⋯ Current evidence suggests that nitrate supplementation may be safe but ineffective for improving exercise tolerance in people with COPD.

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a degenerative disease in the knee joint, with chronic joint pain, swelling, stiffness, and dysfunction as the primary manifestations. Sinomenine hydrochloride injection is a proprietary Chinese medicine injection of sinomenine, the main active component of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Clinical studies show that Sinomenine hydrochloride injection has a good effect on the treatment of KOA. At present, there is still a lack of systematic reviews and meta-analyses to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sinomenine hydrochloride injection in the treatment of KOA. Osteomalacia is caused by an increase in the number of osteoids owing to mineralization failure. There are various causes of osteomalacia, such as hypophosphatemia due to excess production of fibroblast growth factor 23, vitamin D deficiency, insufficient vitamin D action, and renal tubular disorders. ⋯ We should bear in mind the possibility of osteomalacia triggered by social withdrawal and vitamin D deficiency even in middle-aged subjects.

Epidemiological investigation and ultrasonic diagnosis of developmental dysplasia of the hip in Chinese infants: A large multi-center cohort study.
Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is common among Chinese infants, but a lack of large-scale, multi-center epidemiological studies has made it difficult to characterize the risk factors associated with this disease. This multi-center cohort study included 19,833 Chinese infants aged 14 days to 6 months. A multi-center ultrasound protocol was used to diagnose hip abnormalities, and epidemiological data of the infants were collected through questionnaires. ⋯ Family history, breech presentation, oligohydramnios, musculoskeletal deformities, and female sex are high-risk factors for DDH in Chinese infants. The incidence of DDH gradually decreases with age. The results of this study provide evidence for the epidemiology of infant DDH in China.
