Mesenchymal cystic pulmonary hamartoma is a rare type of hamartoma that has been reported in all cases in the literature. Most patients were reported to have spontaneous pneumothorax and were treated by surgery, and finally confirmed to be caused by rupture of the cystic hamartoma. Here, we report a case of mesenchymal cystic pulmonary hamartoma detected using computed tomography (CT) during a health check-up without obvious symptoms. ⋯ For cystic pulmonary hamartoma, it is usually difficult to make a correct diagnosis using CT imaging. A chest magnetic resonance imaging examination may be helpful for differentiation diagnosis before video-assisted thoracic surgery biopsy.

This study investigates the active components and mechanism of Shufeng Jiedu Capsules (SFJDC) against novel coronavirus through network pharmacology and molecular docking. The TCMSP, TCMID, and BATMAN-TCM databases were used to retrieve the components of SFJDC. The active components were screened by ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion) parameters, and identified by Pubchem, Chemical Book, and ChemDraw softwares. ⋯ The herbs-active components-targets network contained 7 herbs, 10 active components, and 225 targets. The 225 target targets were involved in 653 biological processes of Gene Ontology analysis and 130 signal pathways (false discovery rate ≤ 0.01) of Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analysis. The active components of SFJDC (such as Kaempferol, Wogonin, and Baicalein) may combine with ACE2 and act on multiple signaling pathways and targets to exert therapeutic effect on novel coronavirus.

Numerous studies have focused on whether the marital status has an impact on the prognosis in patients with non-small cell lung cancer, but none have focused on lung adenocarcinoma. We selected 61,928 eligible cases with lung adenocarcinoma from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database from 2004 to 2016 and analyzed the impact of marital status on cancer-specific survival (CSS) using Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analyses. We confirmed that sex, age, race, cancer TNM stage and grade, therapeutic schedule, household income, and marital status were independent prognostic factors for lung adenocarcinoma CSS. ⋯ However, the trend was not significant for patients with grade IV cancer. These results suggest that marital status is first identified as an independent prognostic factor for CSS in patients with lung adenocarcinoma, with a clear association between widowhood and a high risk of cancer-specific mortality. Psychological and social support are thus important for patients with lung adenocarcinoma, especially unmarried patients.

Many studies have reported a relationship between the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs2305948 and glioma, but their conclusions have been controversial. A meta-analysis was performed to assess the association between rs2305948 and glioma susceptibility. ⋯ The vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 rs2305948 gene polymorphism may be related to glioma susceptibility in the Asian population. However, the association is not clear in non-Asian populations, for which there has been less research.

Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis with alveolar hemorrhage and ruptured renal aneurysm: A case report and literature review.
Antineutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV) is characterized by necrotizing damage to small-vessel vasculitis and mainly occurs in the kidney or lung. We report a rare case of AAV manifesting as alveolar hemorrhage and a renal aneurysm. ⋯ We encountered unprecedented difficulties and challenges with renal aneurysm rupture. The possibility of aneurysmal rupture should be carefully considered and frequently checked for immunosuppressive therapy for AAV.
