The study was to investigate the clinical characteristics and significance of antinuclear antibody (ANA) cytoplasmic patterns in ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) from Southwest China. A retrospective study including 232 AAV patients from Peoples Hospital of Deyang City was performed. These included 115 patients with ANA cytoplasmic pattern as observation group and 117 patients without ANA cytoplasmic pattern as control group. ⋯ Total protein (OR = .95, 95% CI: 0.91-0.99) was an independent protective factor of AAV renal involvement. Chi-square test showed that speckled pattern was different among anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody patterns (χ2 = 18.526, P < .001). In summary, HEp-2 cell cytoplasmic patterns have certain clinical significance in AAV, which is a new exploration of the clinical value of ANA.

To compare the efficacy of adductor canal block and femoral nerve block for pain management in patients with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. ⋯ Adductor canal block shows similar and adequate analgesia compared to the femoral nerve block in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and adductor canal block can preserve a higher quadriceps strength and better range of motion.

Meta Analysis
Case fatality rate of the adult in-patients with COVID-19 and digestive system tumors: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, endoscopic screening for gastrointestinal tumors was suspended or delayed in most countries. Thus, our study aimed to quantify the impact of COVID-19 on the clinical outcomes of patients with digestive system tumors through a systematic review and meta-analysis. ⋯ PROSPERO registration no. Dieulafoy's lesion (DL) presented with small bowel bleeding constitutes a group of rare and potentially life-threatening prognosis. Several case series have described this condition, yet it remains unclear as to what is the optimal treatment and predicted outcome for patients who have been diagnosed. ⋯ A systematic literature review of 98 published cases taken from PubMed dating back to 1978 was undertaken, and the patients with DL and small bowel bleeding involved mainly the jejunum, followed by the duodenum and ileum. Meanwhile, DL-related duodenal bleeding was diagnosed mostly by an enteroscopy, as well as endoscopic interventions. Jejunal and ileal bleeding due to DL was surveyed through endoscopy and surgery, while surgical resection remained the choice for bleeding cessation. Only anticoagulant use (OR = 18.16; P = .08) was associated with a higher risk of overall mortality, although it was non-significant in univariate analysis. We emphasize that individualized treatment as well as prompt measurement should be implemented accordingly.

Bronchiolitis generally refers to inflammation and/or fibrosis of the non-cartilaginous small airways located approximately from the 8th airway generation down to the terminal and respiratory bronchioles. In contrast to young children, the frequency of small airway infection in adult bronchiolitis appears less frequent and a number of other pathophysiological conditions have been implicated in adult bronchiolitis. However, little information is available on the exact medical burden of bronchiolitis such as its prevalence and comorbidities in the adult population. ⋯ Healthcare costs for bronchiolitis increased steeply during the same period. Malignancy in any organ was the leading cause of mortality in the patient group, followed by bronchiolitis itself. Further larger prospective multiethnic cohort studies should be carried out in the near future.
