Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) syndrome is a rare and complicated disease that is associated with several endocrine tumors. Here, we report a case of MEN1 associated with insulinoma, parathyroid, and pituitary tumors by 68Ga-DOTATATE positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT). ⋯ This case demonstrates that 68Ga-DOTATATE can be used for the detection of MEN1-related tumors and preoperative localization of small and low-grade insulinomas by PET/CT.

Meta Analysis
Meta-analysis of the association between new hypoglycemic agents and digestive diseases.
New hypoglycemic agents include sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2is), glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists (GLP1RAs), and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP4is). The association between each class of these new hypoglycemic drugs and the risks of various digestive system diseases is unknown. We aimed to explore this relationship by performing a meta-analysis. ⋯ Neither SGLT2is nor DPP4is are associated with the occurrences of various kinds of digestive diseases, whereas GLP1RAs are associated with the higher risks of 4 kinds of digestive diseases, namely, gastric ulcer hemorrhage, pancreatitis, cholangitis acute, and cholecystitis acute. These findings seem to suggest that GLP1RAs are not applicable for patients at high risk of 4 specific digestive diseases, whereas SGLT2is and DPP4is are safe for patients susceptible to digestive diseases. However, our findings require to be further verified by future studies with sufficient statistical power.

Early pregnancy loss (EPL) is a common complication of assisted reproductive technology treatment; however, the exact factors involved in EPL are not fully understood. This study aimed to evaluate the risk factors for EPL in fresh in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycles. This retrospective cohort study was conducted on all couples who underwent clinical pregnancy in fresh IVF/ICSI cycles from January to December 2019 at a single large reproductive medical center. ⋯ E2/P and serum human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) levels negatively correlated with EPL. By using a 2-piecewise regression model, the inflection point of serum hCG level was 599.9 IU/L. Our results showed that lower AFC, E2/P, and serum hCG levels were associated with a higher EPL risk in fresh IVF/ICSI cycles.

This study investigated the safety, feasibility, and clinical outcomes of natural orifice specimen extraction surgery (NOSES) by collecting clinical from patients who underwent complete laparoscopic radical resection for colorectal cancer versus those who underwent conventional laparoscopic radical resection for colorectal cancer. Patients with colorectal cancer were selected as the study sample and grouped according to the different surgical methods. A total of 182 patients were eligible for enrollment in the study, including 92 patients who underwent NOSES (NOSES group) and 90 patients who underwent conventional laparoscopic radical colorectal cancer surgery. ⋯ Diabetes mellitus, prolonged drain retention, and prolonged operative time were risk factors for the development of abdominal infection in NOSES. In contrast, intraoperative use of specimen retrieval bags, use of transanal endoscopic operations, and intraoperative flushing of the abdominal cavity with dilute iodophenol were protective factors for the development of postoperative abdominal infections. NOSES for colorectal cancer is worth promoting because of its small trauma and quick postoperative recovery.

This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the efficacy of trastuzumab combined with chemotherapy for the treatment in HER2-positive advanced gastric cancer (HER2-PAGC). ⋯ The results of this study revealed that the efficacy of trastuzumab combined with chemotherapy was superior to that of chemotherapy alone for the treatment of HER2-PAGC. The 2 modalities showed similar safety profiles.
