Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutant nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients are less likely to be programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1)-positive compared with wild-type EGFR mutant tumors. Given the rarity of actionable driver genes in squamous cell lung cancer (SQCC), the frequency of SQCC patients simultaneously carrying EGFR driver gene mutation and having PD-L1 over-expression is extremely low. Studies on the effectiveness and safety of EGFR-TKIs or immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in this subset of patients are lacking. ⋯ ICI monotherapy could be an effective therapy in SQCC patients with low-abundance of EGFR mutations and PD-L1 over-expression. However, close attention should be paid to immune-related adverse events.

Influence factors associated with health risk behaviors of middle school students in the poverty area of China: An observational study.
We aim to investigate the status and influence factors of health risk behaviors among middle school students and explore the relationship between social support, family care, and the health risk behaviors. The study was conducted in 3 middle schools in the Fan county located in the Puyang city. Independent measures were applied to assess adolescent health risk behaviors, perceive social support, and family care. ⋯ The health risk behaviors among middle school students in Fan county should attract the attention of education administration, schools, and parent due to the varied influencing factors. Related interventions should be conducted to reduce the severity and frequency of adolescent health risk behaviors and protect the health and growth of adolescents. In order to better analyze the health risk behaviors of middle school students, we will incorporate more influencing factors and carry out further causal analysis in the future.

Osteosarcoma (OS) is the most common primary bone cancer diagnosed in children. This study aims to explore the aberrantly expressed miRNAs that are prognostically related and to provide potential biomarkers for the prognosis prediction of OS. The miRNA profiles of OS and adjacent normal controls were obtained from 2 gene expression omnibus cohorts (i.e., GSE28423 and GSE65071). ⋯ The results remained still significant even adjusted for clinical confounding factors in multivariate Cox regression models. Further immunology analyses demonstrated that elevated infiltration of lymphocytes, decreased infiltration of immune-suppressive cells, and immune response-related pathways were significantly enriched in patients with miR-509 high expression. Our study suggests that miR-509 may serve as a potential biomarker for evaluating OS prognosis and provides clues for tailoring OS immunotherapy strategies.

3-dimention (3D) Cube isotropic volumetric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) facilitates comprehensive recognition of microinfarcts while it takes long scanning time. HyperSense compressed sensing is an emerging technique for accelerating MRI acquisition to reduce scanning time, while its application along with 3D Cube MRI for microinfarcts is seldom reported. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the efficiency of 3D Cube FLAIR plus HyperSense compressed sensing technique versus conventional 2-dimention (2D) FLAIR scanning in the detection of cortical microinfarcts (CMIs). ⋯ Furthermore, the scanning time of 3D Cube FLAIR plus HyperSense and 2D T2WI FLAIR were both set as 2.5 minutes. Encouragingly, 244 CMIs were detected by 3D Cube FLAIR plus HyperSense, which was higher compared to 2D T2WI FLAIR (106 detected CMIs). 3D Cube FLAIR plus HyperSense compressed sensing is superior to 2D T2WI FLAIR scanning regarding image quality, spatial resolution, detection rate for CMIs; meanwhile, it does not increase the scanning time. These findings may contribute to early detection and treatment of stroke.

At present, to a large extent, we do not know the safety and benefits of minimally invasive surgery for elderly patients, especially the focus population of patients aged 90 and over. ⋯ Apparently, our results show that PKP is safe and beneficial for patients aged 90 years or older.
