Orexins regulate the reward-seeking pathway and also play a role in drug addiction. The aim of this study was an investigation of the changes in serum level of orexin-A as well as changes in the functional brain network in heroin use disorder (HUD) patients undergoing harm reduction therapy (HRT). Twenty-five HUD patients undergoing HRT that included methadone and buprenorphine, and 31 healthy control (HC) subjects, were enrolled for this study. ⋯ In addition, the internetwork functional connectivity was significantly lower in the left nucleus accumbens and left dorsal anterior insula in the HUD subjects than in HCs (P < .05, Family-Wise Error corrected). In this study, no significant correlation between orexin-A levels and functional brain networks was found. However, the results suggest that HRT might increase orexin-A levels and decrease functional activity in RVAI in HUD patients.

The diagnosis of hiatal hernia (HH), causing severe gastroesophageal reflux disease and complications in children with cerebral palsy (CP) is cumbersome because invasive investigations are required for diagnosis. Hip displacement, one of the most common complications in children with CP, can be diagnosed with a simple pelvic radiograph. This study aimed to evaluate the association between the severity of hip displacement and HH and the diagnostic accuracy of Reimers' hip migration percentage (MP) on pelvic radiography in assessing the presence of HH. ⋯ Retrospectively registered. This study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (IRB No. B-2007-627-106).

Glioblastomas are classified into primary and secondary; primary glioblastomas develop rapidly and aggressively, whereas secondary glioblastomas are more common in grade II and III gliomas. Here, we aimed to demonstrate the role of the CNPY4 gene as a potential biomarker in immune infiltration in gliomas. Based on gene expression profile interaction analysis (GEPIA), we studied the survival model of CNPY4 and evaluated its effect on patients with glioma. ⋯ The GSEA results showed that CNPY4 played an immunoregulatory role in immune-related phenotypic pathways between lymphoid and nonlymphoid cells. The intestinal immune networks for IgA production, rabbit thyroid disease, primary immunodeficiencies, and cancer immunotherapy were enriched by PD-1 blockade. High CNPY4 expression is a biomarker of glioma prognosis and is associated with the immune invasion of glioma.

Application of oxycodone in anesthesia induction and overall management of Da Vinci robot-assisted nephrectomy: A randomized controlled trial.
This study aimed to evaluate the application of oxycodone in anesthesia induction and overall management of Da Vinci robot-assisted nephrectomy. ⋯ Compared with sufentanil, anesthesia induction with 0.3 mg/kg oxycodone in Da Vinci robot-assisted nephrectomy can achieve mild pain and mild adverse responses in patients postoperatively.
