Meta Analysis
Effects of magnesium valproate adjuvant therapy on patients with dementia: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Current research has found contradictory results on the treatment of magnesium valproate (VPM) in patients with dementia (PwD). ⋯ By meta-analysis, evidence was found to support VPM additional used for the treatment of cognitive function, psychiatric symptoms, or disease improvement in PwD. VPM may be a potential drug to aid in the treatment of dementia patients. However, there was lack of enough evidence to classification of dementia severity in our inclusion study. More research is still needed, including clinical trials evaluating VPM as a complementary therapy.

Meta Analysis
The impact of alfentanil supplementation on the sedation of bronchoscopy: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
The efficacy of alfentanil supplementation for the sedation of bronchoscopy remains controversial. We conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the influence of alfentanil supplementation on the sedation during bronchoscopy. ⋯ Alfentanyl supplementation benefits to reduce coughing scores and dose of propofol for bronchoscopy, but increases the incidence of hypoxemia. The use of alfentanyl supplementation for bronchoscopy should be with caution.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Efficacy and safety of thread embedding acupuncture for knee osteoarthritis: A randomized controlled pilot trial.
Thread embedding acupuncture (TEA) is a widely used clinical procedure for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain. However, few clinical studies have been conducted on the efficacy and safety of TEA for knee osteoarthritis (KOA), and data from randomized controlled trials are lacking. This randomized controlled pilot study aimed to assess the feasibility of conducting large-scale studies on the efficacy and safety of TEA for KOA. ⋯ This pilot study suggests that TEA is a safe and effective procedure for relieving pain in patients with KOA. The results of this study provide basic data and indicate the feasibility of large-scale clinical studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of TEA for KOA.

We meta-analyzed available evidence on fertility, survival, and cancer recurrence in patients with stage I epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) after fertility-sparing surgery (FSS). ⋯ FSS is associated with good oncological outcomes but less than satisfactory reproductive outcomes. All in all, the procedure appears to be a safe alternative to radical surgery for EOC patients who want to preserve fertility.

Hepatic sarcomatoid carcinoma is a rare liver malignancy with atypical clinical symptoms and a high degree of malignancy. To improve the understanding of this disease, we collected the clinical and pathological data of 14 patients with hepatic sarcomatoid carcinoma admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital and Second Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College from 2011 to 2021 and reviewed the relevant literature. The clinical and pathological data of 14 patients with hepatic sarcomatoid carcinoma were collected from the electronic medical record system of the 2 hospitals. ⋯ Hepatic sarcomatoid carcinoma is more common in middle-aged and elderly patients, especially men, and has no characteristic clinical manifestations. Imaging examination and B-ultrasound-guided liver biopsy + immunohistochemistry can help diagnose. Radical surgery is the preferred method for hepatic sarcomatoid carcinoma, and postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy is expected to prolong patient survival.
