Abundant amount of literature that analyze the various detection of different ultrasound methods, no comprehensive literature that investigates the diagnostic values of breast cancer (BC) by different ultrasonography modalities through a network meta-analysis (NMA) has been made available. Each imaging diagnostic examination has its own advantages and disadvantages, and any imaging examination is not enough to make an accurate diagnosis of the disease. Thus, this study aimed to compare diagnostic values among different ultrasonography modalities, including the information of 2-dimension, stiffness and blood flow, by a network meta-analysis in the hopes of understanding which imaging methods are better and which combination of different ultrasonography modalities is more appropriate to diagnose BC. ⋯ The results of this network meta-analysis suggested more appropriate combination of different ultrasound modalities is BI-RADS 4b, SMI, and SWE for the diagnosis of breast cancer.

Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC) is a rare disorder with onset in the first 18 months of life characterized by stereotyped paroxysmal manifestations of tonic and dystonic attacks, nystagmus with other oculomotor abnormalities, respiratory and autonomic dysfunctions. AHC is often associated with epileptic seizures and developmental delay. Hemiplegic paroxysm is the most remarkable symptom, although AHC includes a large series of clinical manifestations that interfere with the disease course. ⋯ Recently, the term ATP1A3 syndrome has been identified as a fever-induced paroxysmal weakness and encephalopathy, slowly progressive cerebellar ataxia, childhood-onset schizophrenia/autistic spectrum disorder, paroxysmal dyskinesia, cerebral palsy/spastic paraparesis, dystonia, dysmorphism, encephalopathy, MRI abnormalities without hemiplegia, and congenital hydrocephalus. Herewith, we discussed about historical annotations of AHC, symptoms, signs and associated morbidities, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and genetics. We also reported on the ATP1A3-related disorders and ATP1A3 syndrome, as 2 recently established and expanded genetic clinical entities.

Effects of myofascial release with tennis ball on spasticity and motor functions of upper limb in patients with chronic stroke: A randomized controlled trial.
Impaired motor function and upper extremity spasticity are common concerns in patients after stroke. It is essential to plan therapeutic techniques to recover from the stroke. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of myofascial release with the tennis ball on spasticity and motor functions of the upper extremity in patients with chronic stroke. ⋯ Myofascial release performed with a tennis ball in conjunction with conventional physiotherapy has more beneficial effects on spasticity and motor functions of the upper extremity in patients with chronic stroke compared to conventional therapy alone.

To investigate the normal diameter of the abdominal aorta and common iliac arteries of the middle-aged and elderly people in China and the relationship of the diameters with age, sex, height, weight, body mass index (BMI), and body surface area (BSA). This retrospective study enrolled 625 patients including 380 males and 245 females aged 60.00 years (interquartile range 13.00 years). All clinical data and the diameters of the abdominal aorta and common iliac arteries were analyzed. ⋯ The diameter of the abdominal aorta at the proximal, middle, and distal segment as well as the diameter of the left and right common iliac artery at the distal segment were significantly (P < .05) increased with age. The normal values of the diameter of the abdominal aorta and common iliac arteries are suggested for the middle-aged and elderly Chinese people for clinical reference. The diameters are gender related and significantly positively correlated with BSA, height, weight, and BMI, which is beneficial for the diagnosis and treatment planning of relevant vascular diseases.

Telemedicine is proving to be a useful tool in the telemonitoring of respiratory patients and telerehabilitation programs. The use of telemedicine has been proposed by the main medical societies because of the limited resources and the healthcare workers infection risk in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The aim of this pilot program is to evaluate the feasibility of COVID-19 telerehabilitation program from the hospital to the home with clinical, functional and patient satisfaction outcomes. ⋯ Beginning telerehabilitation in the hospital could increase the efficacy and efficiency of physical therapy, which is safe for patients and healthcare workers. Following at home, this telerehabilitation program seems to encourage and empower patients who have reported high satisfaction. Further randomized studies with larger numbers of patients and multicenter studies are required to evaluate these results.
