Medical-related information rapidly spreads throughout the internet. However, these types of information often contain inaccurate information, which can lead to harmful misconceptions. In this study, we evaluated the reliability, quality, and accuracy of videos uploaded on YouTube that harbor claims on the effects of acupuncture on COVID-19 treatment. ⋯ Despite the videos being made by experts, their reliability, content-quality, and accuracy were found to be low. The spread of inaccurate information may result in the use of inappropriate and potentially harmful treatment methods for patients. Videos that contain medical information should be produced based on verified scientific evidence.

Uro-originated epidermoid cysts, especially located in the upper urinary tract are rare and only 4 cases of epidermoid cyst occurring in the upper urinary tract have been reported worldwide so far. In the previous cases, the cysts were diagnosed as tumors and organs were removed. ⋯ This case illustrates that benign epidermoid cysts can appear in the ureter, although it is extremely rare. It also indicates that perioperative examinations must be exhaustive to avoid the further injury to the patients.

The purposes were to analyze correlations between the frequency of beverage drinking (coffee, green tea, milk, and soft drinks) and the presence of radiographic knee osteoarthritis (OA) in relation to sex. We performed this study using the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KHANES V-1, 2). We examined data from 5503 subjects after exclusion. ⋯ However, there was no significant linear trend of the odds ratio of each group in both sexes for drinking other beverages. As the coffee consumption increased, the radiographic knee OA group showed decreasing linear trend only in women. However, other beverages did not show a significant relation to the radiographic knee OA in both sexes.

Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is a key pathological characteristic of gastric cancer (GC). However, the clinical significance of HER2 expression in gastric carcinoma remains controversial. The purpose of this study was to analyze the clinicopathological characteristics of HER2 protein expression, Lauren classification and tumor protein p53 (P53) expression and to evaluate the clinical significance of HER2 protein expression. ⋯ HER2 protein positivity was associated with significantly higher overall survival (OS) (P = .038). Overexpression of HER2 protein was observed in 23.9% of the cases and was significantly related to the Lauren intestinal subtype and P53 negative expression. HER2 protein overexpression was independently associated with higher OS.

Subacute combined degeneration (SCD), caused by vitamin B12 disorders, leads to severe degeneration of the spinal cord. Thus, it is significant to make timely diagnosis and treatment options of SCD. The objectives were to summarize clinical features of different sate SCD. ⋯ Strikingly, there existed close relationship between enhanced levels of blood glucose (r = -0.289, P = .066), glycated hemoglobin (GHB) (r = -0.288, P = .068) and homocysteine (r = -0.563, P = .000), abnormal visual findings (r = 0.309, P = .049) and megaloblastic anemia (r = -0.295, P = .061) with different SCD stage, among which abnormal visual findings were closely associated with middle stage SCD. Moreover, levels of total cholesterol, blood glucose, homocysteine and abnormal finding of visual acuity were significant in diagnosis and clinical staging of SCD (P < .05). Although MRI scanning and serum vitamin B12 level were widely used for SCD diagnosis, neurological examination and homocysteine level may be more potentially valuable indexes for SCD diagnosis and staging.
