End-effector lower limb robot-assisted gait training effects in subacute stroke patients: A randomized controlled pilot trial.
This pilot study investigated end-effector lower limb rehabilitation robot training effects in subacute stroke patients. ⋯ Compared with conventional physiotherapy alone, end-effector lower limb robot-assisted gait training with conventional physiotherapy improved subacute stroke patients walking ability.

Enhanced CT-guided adrenal venous sampling versus traditional X-ray-guided adrenal venous sampling in patients with primary aldosteronism.
To compare the accuracy, safety, operation time, and radiation dose of enhanced computed tomography (CT)-guided adrenal vein sampling (AVS) versus traditional X-ray-guided AVS in patients with primary aldosteronism. A total of 97 patients with primary aldosteronism were randomly assigned to either the enhanced CT-guided group (n = 48) or the traditional X-ray-guided group (n = 49). Baseline characteristics were compared between the 2 groups. ⋯ In addition, the CT-guided group had significantly shorter operation times (P < .001) and lower radiation exposure (P < .001). The enhanced CT-guided AVS demonstrated significantly better accuracy, safety, and efficiency compared to traditional X-ray-guided AVS in patients with primary aldosteronism. The enhanced CT-guided approach also resulted in lower radiation exposure for patients, making it a favorable option in the diagnosis and treatment of primary aldosteronism.

Claustrophobia is a form of phobic anxiety disorder characterized by panic attacks. Anesthesia in patients with claustrophobia poses a challenge because these patients reject all treatments in an enclosed space. When such patients are treated in uncomfortably enclosed environments, it can cause mental distress and even sudden psychiatric death. ⋯ This case report shows that patients with claustrophobia need to be provided a comfortable environment for induction and awakening from anesthesia.

A member of the short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase superfamily (DHRS1, SDR19C1) is a member of the short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase superfamily and a potential predictor of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the role of DHRS1 in HCC immunity remains unclear. We systematically analyzed the association between DHRS1 and HCC immunity with transcriptional and clinical data from the Tumor Immune Estimation Resource, an integrated repository portal for tumor immune system interactions, and cBioPortal databases. ⋯ Finally, a prognostic nomogram and calibration curve were created. The DHRS1 gene may exert an impact on HCC immunity. We posit that the nominated immune signature based on DHRS1-associated immunomodulators could constitute a promising prognostic biomarker in HCC.

To analyze the effects of dietary intervention combined with insulin aspart on the serum levels of nesfatin-1, C1q/TNF related protein-12 (CTRP12), and pregnancy outcomes in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). In this retrospective cohort study, 513 women with GDM admitted to Tangshan Central Hospital (Tangshan, China) between January 2019 and December 2022 were selected and divided into an observation group (dietary intervention combined with insulin aspart therapy; n = 284) and a control group (insulin aspart therapy, n = 229). The general characteristics, clinical outcomes, serum nesfatin-1 and CTRP12 levels, 2-hour postprandial blood glucose levels, pregnancy outcomes, and perinatal outcomes of the 2 groups were compared. ⋯ Compared with the control group, the observation group had significantly fewer cesarean sections, and a significantly lower incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, premature rupture of membranes, and other adverse pregnancy outcomes. After treatment, the risks of preterm birth, macrosomia, fetal distress, neonatal asphyxia, neonatal hypoglycemia, and other adverse perinatal outcomes were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group. In pregnant women with GDM, dietary intervention combined with insulin aspart can improve clinical outcomes; reduce nesfatin-1, CTRP12, and blood glucose levels; and reduce the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
