Many studies have reported electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy (ENB) diagnostic yields and the importance of size and computed tomography (CT) bronchus sign. This study aimed to determine the diagnostic yield of ENB alone, using forceps biopsy and cytology. We analyzed the factors associated with yield and complications according to gross specimen size. ⋯ ENB had acceptable diagnostic yield and safety for diagnosing lung lesions with suspected malignancy. Obtaining more tissue through biopsy may not increase bleeding or pneumothorax complications. Identifying patients with lesion characteristics, including CT bronchus sign, would help increase ENB diagnostic yield.

Osteosarcoma (OS) is one of the most prevalent malignant bone tumors. The proportion of patients with limb OS was relatively high. Lung metastasis (LM) and bone metastasis are the first and second most common metastatic types of OS, respectively. ⋯ In limb OS patients with LM and BM, the mean survival months in the no surgery group was lower than in the surgery group. T stage and radiotherapy significantly influence the occurrence of limb OS with lung and/or BM. Surgery at the primary site has been shown to be effective in improving the survival rate of patients with lung and/or BM.

To determine feasibility of removing inferior vena cava filters (IVCFs) with massive thrombus (>1*1cm) under protection of suprarenal IVCFs, and evaluate the filter thrombus detachment due to removal. The patients who had massive infrarenal IVCFs thrombus and received retrieval under protection of suprarenal IVCFs were retrospectively reviewed from July 2018 to December 2021. Medical data of them including demographics, filter types, dwell time, management, thrombus detachment was collected, and analyzed. ⋯ Twenty-two suprarenal IVCFs trapped large-size thrombus were treated with additional anticoagulation and 21 of them had successful retrievals with additional anticoagulation period of 66.18 ± 43.38 days (range, 9-154 days). The large-size IVCFs thrombus may be break off during retrieval, and IVCFs with large-size thrombus could be removed safely with suprarenal IVCFs protection. The thrombus trapped in filters could be reduced with an additional period of anticoagulation.

Pyroptosis is a new type of programmed cell death involved in all stages of tumorigenesis. Herein, a comprehensive study was conducted to evaluate the prognostic significance of pyroptosis-related lncRNAs in bladder cancer. Consensus clustering analysis was performed to identify the subclusters of bladder cancer. ⋯ The expression of most checkpoints was higher in bladder cancer patients with high-risk score. A novel pyroptosis-related lncRNA signature was identified with prognostic value for bladder cancer patients. Pyroptosis-related lncRNAs have a potential role in cancer immunology and may serve as prognostic or therapeutic targets in bladder cancer.

Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is a histological type of thyroid cancer, and CD8T is important for the immune response. The single-cell RNA data were acquired from Gene Expression Omnibus. SingleR package was used for cluster identification, and CellChat was exploited to evaluate the interaction among several cell types. ⋯ Drug sensitivity analysis showed some drugs could be effectively used for the treatment of PTC, and regulatory network identified some targets for the immunotherapy. A 2-gene model of PTC was developed based on the single-cell RNA and bulk RNA data. Besides, we found CD8T was essential for the immune response in PTC.
