Although increasing evidence has revealed the efficacy of acupuncture in obesity/overweight, actual improvement in metabolism in children and adolescents is unclear. Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate this correlation. ⋯ Our results suggest that acupuncture is effective in improving metabolic outcomes of obese/overweight children and adolescents. Owing to the limited number of trials included in this study, the results should be interpreted with caution.

A case report: Unilateral biportal endoscopic revision for adjacent segmental disease: Case presentations and literature review.
Biportal endoscopic revision surgery for adjacent segmental disease (ASD) after lumbar arthrodesis is seldomly reported. Herein, we present 3 cases of ASD with radiculopathy wherein satisfactory results were obtained using unilateral biportal endoscopic (UBE) decompression. ⋯ UBE revision surgery showed a favorable clinical and radiological result without complications and may be a safe and effective alternative technique for ASD.

Causality between sarcopenia-related traits and major depressive disorder: A bi-directional, two-sample Mendelian randomized study.
Observational studies have demonstrated an association between sarcopenia and depression. However, these studies may be influenced by confounding factors, and the causal relationship between sarcopenia and major depressive disorder (MDD) remains unclear. This study aimed to apply the Mendelian randomization (MR) method to address confounding factors and assess the causal effect of sarcopenia on MDD. ⋯ There was a causal relationship between sarcopenia-related traits and MDD. Loss of muscle strength, rather than skeletal muscle mass, is correlated with an increased risk of MDD. Furthermore, individuals with MDD are more likely to experience loss of skeletal muscle mass.

Clinical feature and genetic mutation of KBG syndrome diagnosed in neonatal period: A case report.
KBG syndrome (KBGS, OMIM: 148050), a rare genetic disorder, is clinically characterized by megalodontia, short stature, skeletal abnormalities, and nervous system manifestations. In the study, we explore the clinical and genetic characteristics of one neonate suffering KBGS caused by ANKRD11 gene mutation. ⋯ This is the first case of KBGS was diagnosed in the neonatal period, which provides a reference for the child to receive timely and correct treatment.

To evaluate the correlation between contrast-enhanced (CE) MRI and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) cytology for the evaluation of leptomeningeal metastasis (LM) on MRI after targeted therapy with tyrosine kinase inhibitors. ⋯ The discrepancy of MRI in evaluation of LM and CSF cytology increases over time after targeted therapy with osimertinib. LM positivity on MRI could be a surrogate imaging marker in the pre- and immediate posttargeted-treatment with Osimertinib but not after sessions of osimertinib.
