Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease involving multiple systems. Its recurrent episodes and fluctuating disease courses have a severe impact on patients. Biomarkers to predict disease prognosis and remission are still lacking in SLE. ⋯ Finally, further immune infiltration analysis showed differences in various immune cells in the SLE and healthy control samples. ARID2, CYSTM1, DDIT3, and RNASE1 can affect the immune function of SLE patients. ARID2, CYSTM1, DDIT3, and RNASE1 could be used as immune-related potential biomarkers and therapeutic or diagnostic targets for further research.

To evaluate how well outcomes following cataract extraction and microinvasive glaucoma surgery in one eye predict outcomes in sequential second eye. Retrospective study of 78 patients who underwent cataract extraction and microinvasive glaucoma surgery in both eyes. Linear regressions using Pearson correlation coefficients were used to evaluate correlations in intraocular pressure and glaucoma medication change between eyes. ⋯ Multivariate analysis for predictive factors of successful second eye surgery showed patients with successful first eye surgery at 6 months were significantly more likely to have successful second eye surgery (odds ratio, 20.67; P < .001). Reductions in intraocular pressure and glaucoma medications at 6 months following surgery in first eyes are correlated to second eye reductions. Successful surgical outcomes at 6 months following first eye surgeries are strongly associated with successful sequential second eye outcomes.

Bone and soft tissue tumors are diverse, accompanying by complex histological components and significantly divergent biological behaviors. It is a challenge to address the demand for qualitative imaging as traditional imaging is restricted to the detection of anatomical structures and aberrant signals. With the improvement of digitalization in hospitals and medical centers, the introduction of electronic medical records and easier access to large amounts of information coupled with the improved computational power, traditional medicine has evolved into the combination of human brain, minimal data, and artificial intelligence. ⋯ Two observers separately examined PubMed, Web of Science and CNKI to find existing studies, case reports, and clinical guidelines about research status and progress of radiomics in bone and soft tissue tumors from January 2010 to February 2023. When evaluating the literature, factors such as patient age, medical history, and severity of the condition will be considered. This narrative review summarizes the application and progress of radiomics in bone and soft tissue tumors.

Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F (TwHF) has been widely used to relieve rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in many countries. However, a bibliometric analysis of published articles discussing this treatment has not been conducted. This study aimed to explore the current status and trends of TwHF for treating RA. ⋯ For keyword analysis, "classification," "criteria," "mechanism," and "methotrexate" were still being researched hot until 2022. Further investigation showed that "TNF-α," "proliferation," "endothelial growth factor," "NF-κB," and "collagen-induced arthritis" also remains research hotspot. Our results provide information on the research status, institutions, countries, authors, published journals, keywords related to using TwHF to treat RA, and theoretical support for further research.

Efficacy of DAIR in managing Candida parapsilosis-infected total knee arthroplasty with five-year follow-up: A case report and review of literature.
Fungal periprosthetic joint infections (fPJIs) are relatively uncommon, accounting for approximately 1% of all PJIs. Revision surgery is typically recommended for fungal infections; however, the physical and financial impact on patients is significant. In this report, we present a case of fPJI successfully treated with debridement, antibiotics, and implant retention (DAIR) with a favorable outcome over a 5-year period. ⋯ DAIR is an effective treatment for early fPJIs, and continuous closed irrigation may provide specific advantages. The patient nutritional status plays a crucial role in the management of periprosthetic infections.
