Acupuncture combined with Tuina in the treatment of cervical longus tendinitis: A case report.
Cervical longus tendonitis is a type of disease with neck pain as the main clinical manifestation. Because the front of the cervical longus muscle is adjacent to the esophagus and pharynx, this disease is often accompanied by pharyngeal pain and pain when swallowing. Clinical and imaging doctors often have an incomplete understanding of it, and this disease is often confused with other diseases that cause neck pain. ⋯ Because the clinical reports of diseases are rare, the treatment methods are limited, and acupuncture combined with massage is an effective method for the treatment of tendonitis of the cervical long muscle, to dredge the meridians, promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis and relieving pain.

Facial-onset sensory and motor neuronopathy (FOSMN) is a greatly rare disease, so far, autopsy evidence that is associated with neurodegenerative. Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an antibody-mediated and complement-involved acquired autoimmune disorder of the post-synaptic neuromuscular junction. There have been few reports about if there is related between the 2. In this study, we present the case of a man who was diagnosed as FOSMN with MG in continuity. ⋯ Facial-onset sensory and motor neuronopathy and MG have disparate clinical features. Therefore, we reported a rare case in which the 2 conditions concurrently existed. Immune dysfunction might be the pathogenesis of this association, while there is no definite evidence to support it, further studies are needed.

To investigate the impact of perioperative intelligent information-based care on postoperative rehabilitation, complications, and quality of life of patients in the operating room. Retrospective analysis of information on 84 patients who underwent gastrointestinal surgery in our hospital from May 2021 to May 2022 were divided into to control group (n = 42) and observation group (n = 42) according to different care modalities. The control group received conventional care, while the observation group received intelligent information-based perioperative care. ⋯ The quality of life of patients such as physical ability, pain, mood, sleep, social activity, and physical activity scores in the observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group after care (P < .05). The nursing satisfaction rate of patients in the observation group was 95.27% (40/42), which was significantly higher than that of 78.57% (33/42) in the control group (P = .024). Intelligent information-based perioperative care can promote the postoperative recovery of patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery, can successfully improve patients' sleep quality and pain level, alleviate negative emotions, reduce the risk of postoperative complications, and improve patients' quality of life and satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical promotion.

Hypertension is one of the chronic diseases that threaten the health of the elderly population. This study aims to explore the treatment and medication preferences in Chinese elderly patients (≥45 years old) with hypertension, and to investigate the relevant influencing factors. A cross-sectional design was adopted. ⋯ Patients' preference for TCM therapy was correlated positively with the provincial economic welfare factor, and negatively with the provincial medical and social welfare factors. During treatment of patients with hypertension, clinicians should pay attention to their preferences and formulate personalized regimens for them, in order to improve their compliance with treatment. Additionally, the government should steadily improve the local medical benefits, thereby facilitating the promotion and application of local TCM services.
