Randomized Controlled Trial
A comparison of tracheal intubation using intubrite laryngoscope and conventional MAC laryngoscope: An open, prospective, crossover manikin study.
New devices are more available in the pre-hospital environment operational theaters and emergency departments. One is an intubrite laryngoscope (INT) with Dual LED lighting that combines ultraviolet and white LED. The study aimed to compare the efficacy of endotracheal intubation using INT and conventional laryngoscope performed by inexperienced paramedics (paramedics students) and paramedics with experience in advanced airways management in full and limited accessibility settings. ⋯ Intubrite provided better working conditions and make up for deficiencies in successful tracheal intubation by inexperienced participants in a normal and difficult environment. Tracheal intubation with intubrite was more effective in the experienced group. Tracheal intubation effectiveness with intubrite was also higher in the experienced group.

No studies have evaluated the interaction, quality, and reliability of chemotherapy-related videos published on YouTube. The aim was to evaluate the content of YouTube videos about chemotherapy using 5 different scoring tools. In this cross-sectional register-based study, popular videos on YouTube about the following keywords were examined; "chemotherapy," "what is chemotherapy," "types of chemotherapy," "chemotherapy side effects" and "chemotherapy treatments." Quality and reliability of video content were measured using the modified DISCERN (mDISCERN), the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the Global Quality Score (GQS), the Video Information Quality Index (VIQI), and Health on the Net code (HONcode) scores. ⋯ There was a significant difference between video quality scores according to video categories and video publishers (P < .001 for both). Although most YouTube videos about chemotherapy were helpful to patients, content quality and reliability were moderate-low. Cancer patients looking for information on chemotherapy may find YouTube videos beneficial, but clinicians must be cautious to clear up any misunderstandings.

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) often suffers from a high prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MetS). However, few studies in developing countries have focused on the effect of MetS on in-hospital outcomes in patients with AMI. We analyzed 199 patients with AMI who underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention. ⋯ Among patients with AMI, the prevalence of metabolic syndrome was high. Patients with MetS did not exhibit an increased all-cause in-hospital mortality rate. Increased waist circumference is associated with increased all-cause mortality.

Review Meta Analysis
Risk factors for rehospitalization within 90 days in patients with total joint replacement: A meta-analysis.
The risk factors influencing the readmission within 90 days following total joint replacement (TJR) are complex and heterogeneous, and few systematic reviews to date have focused on this issue. ⋯ The findings of this review and meta-analysis will aid clinicians as they seek to understand the risk factors for 90-day readmission following TJR. Clinicians should consider the identified key risk factors associated with unplanned readmissions and develop strategies to risk-stratify patients and provide dedicated interventions to reduce the rates of readmission and enhance the recovery process.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy in improving social engagement and pain susceptibility in patients with chronic low back pain (≥6 months duration). ⋯ CBT can improve patients' social participation and pain susceptibility to some extent, but it does not show advantages for managing negative emotions (depression, anxiety). Due to the limited number and low quality of included literature, the above findings still need to be validated by conducting a large sample of high-quality RCTs.
