Treatment of esophageal burns may require surgical transplantation (interposition) of the colon or stomach. The interposed parts change their function and morphology. To investigate the macro- and microchanges in the transplanted colonic segment we analyzed in long-term follow-up (up to 29 years) the group of 21 patients in a retrospective study who underwent surgical interposition of pedicled colonic right half segments for esophageal burns. ⋯ We concluded macrooesophagization developed gradually after surgery, and was fully developed after 15 to 20 years. Microoesophagization appeared soon after interposition, and was obvious after 5 years. No metaplasia or dysplasia were observed (except in 1 patient), and the number of goblet cell remained constant.

The aim of the present study is to conduct a trauma and disability survey in amateur boxers and show the actual conditions of injuries based on the current situations. We have obtained 663 valid responses from male and female boxers. In the questionnaire survey who was carried out on a Web questionnaire form. ⋯ And, KO experience group was compared with non-KO experience group, and the factors influencing the number of severity symptoms were examined. As a result, 2 factors were selected what "Seriousness in practice" and "Fighting spirit in games". It might be possible that the relation between the experience of being KO and self-assessment of boxing performance.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is considered an independent risk factor for the development of cardiovascular disease. However, the association between changes in NAFLD status and the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains uncertain. Starting January 1, 2013, participants were followed until the occurrence of CVD event, death, or December 31, 2020. ⋯ In contrast, individuals who recovered from NAFLD at the second screening demonstrated a reduced CVD risk compared to those with persistent NAFLD (adjusted hazard ratio, 0.91; 95% confidence interval, 0.90-0.92). The reversal of NAFLD is associated with a reduced risk of CVD. Therefore, focusing on NAFLD treatment could serve as a clinical target for lowering CVD risk.

Significant biomarkers can predict and estimate the response to chemotherapy for different types of lymphoma. Classical Hodgkin's lymphoma (cHL) and peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) belong to different types of lymphoma, their prognosis is very different, programmed cell death receptor 1 (PD-1) and its ligand (PD-L1) have been studied in these 2 types of diseases. However, few studies have involved the difference in PD-1/PD-L1 levels between cHL and PTCL. ⋯ The dynamic detection of sPD-L1 showed that after 2 courses of chemotherapy, the sPD-L1 level in cHL patients with complete remission declined, but the level of sPD-L1 from patients with incomplete remission was not significantly changed (P > .05). In tumor tissues of cHL patients, PD-1(+) was 77%, PD-L1(+) was 69%, PD-1 and PD-L1 expression levels were high. Our results suggest that PD-1 levels in peripheral blood CD4+ T cells are helpful for the stage of disease in patients with cHL, and the dynamic detection of sPD-L1 level is helpful for the judgment of patients with cHL.

Skin cancers (SCs) arise due to the proliferation of atypical cells that have the potential to infiltrate or metastasize to different areas of the body. There is a lack of understanding regarding the country-based collaborations among authors (CBCA) and article themes on SCs. A clustering algorithm capable of categorizing CBCA and article themes on skin cancer is required. This study aimed to apply a follower-leading clustering algorithm to classify CBCA and article themes and present articles that deserve reading in recent ten years. ⋯ By applying the descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics model, 2 noteworthy articles were identified and highlighted on an impact beam plot. These articles are considered deserving of attention and could potentially inspire further research in the field of bibliometrics, focusing on relevant topics related to melanoma.
