Duhuo-Jisheng decoction (DJD) is a Chinese herb formula. Previous studies have reported that the clinical symptoms and laboratory indicators of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients could be improved by DJD. However, the existing evidence was not robust enough and controversial. ⋯ DJD could be a satisfactory complementary and alternative therapy for RA. However, due to a small number of subgroup analysis results being different from the overall results, it should be verified by further studies.

Sucking lollipop after awakening from sevoflurane anesthesia reduces the degree of emergence agitation in children undergoing ambulatory surgery: A prospective randomized controlled trial.
Emergence agitation (EA) is a common complication in pediatric anesthesia, especially in preschool children maintained by sevoflurane, with incidence ranging up to 80%. The purpose of the study was to determine whether sucking lollipop after awakening from sevoflurane anesthesia reduced the degree of EA in children undergoing ambulatory surgery. ⋯ Sucking lollipop after awakening from sevoflurane anesthesia reduced the degree EA in children undergoing ambulatory surgery.

A randomized, controlled clinical trial of acupoint catgut embedding as an effective control of functional anorectal pain.
Patients with functional anorectal pain (FAP) usually feel pain in the anal region, foreign body sensation, and defecation disorders. The pain may radiate to the perineum, thighs, and waist. Conventional biofeedback, local nerve block and surgical treatment have certain limitations. Thread-embedding acupuncture (TEA) is a complementary and alternative therapy, which is widely used in the clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine to treat functional anorectal pain. This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of the catgut-embedding acupuncture in patients with FAP. ⋯ The thread-embedding acupuncture treatment effectively and safely improved the emotional anxiety and quality of life in FAP patients.

The Analgesic effect of adding ultrasound-guided pericapsular nerve group block to suprainguinal fascia iliaca compartment block for hip fracture surgery: A prospective randomized controlled trial.
Both suprainguinal ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca compartment block (FICB) and pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block have been used to treat pain after hip surgery. Motor-sparing PENG block may further expedite early postoperative rehabilitation. This study aimed to compare the analgesic efficacy and recovery outcome of suprainguinal ultrasound-guided FICB alone with FICB combined with PENG block for hip fracture surgery. ⋯ Addition of ultrasound-guided PENG block to FICB did not improve postoperative analgesic or recovery outcomes in elderly patients undergoing hip fracture surgery.

A scientometric analysis and visualization of kinesiophobia research from 2002 to 2022: A review.
Kinesiophobia is an excessive, irrational, debilitating fear of physical movement and activity caused by a sense of vulnerability to pain or re-injury, which can have a direct impact on physical functioning and mental well-being of patients. This paper aims to provide reliable support for future in-depth research on kinesiophobia through scientometrics and historical review. Studies on kinesiophobia published from 2002 to 2022 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection. ⋯ A multidisciplinary model of pain neuroscience education combined with physical therapy based on cognitive-behavioral therapy and the introduction and development of virtual reality may be the frontier of research. There is a large space for the study of kinesiophobia. In the future, to improve regional academic exchanges and cooperation, more attention should be given to the clinical applicability and translation of scientific work, which will be conducive to improving the quality of life and physical and mental health outcomes of kinesiophobia patients.
