Demoralization syndrome is prevalence among cancer patients in China. However, little research has examined how demoralization syndrome is associated with quality of life (QOL). The aims of this study were to investigate the relationship between mindfulness state, demoralization syndrome and QOL of thyroid cancer patients, and explore the mediating effect of mindfulness on demoralization syndrome and QOL. ⋯ Mindfulness played a partial mediating role between demoralization syndrome and QOL of thyroid cancer patients, and the mediating effect accounted for 68.57% of the total effect. Demoralization syndrome can influence QOL through mindfulness state. Measures are needed to increase the QOL of thyroid cancer patients by developing mindfulness programs to decrease their demoralization syndrome.

Review Case Reports
Comprehensive treatment of Cronkhite-Canada syndrome: A case report and literature review.
Cronkhite-Canada syndrome (CCS) is currently considered to be a non-hereditary disease, which is relatively rare clinically. It is also known as polyposis hyperpigmentation alopecia nail dystrophy syndrome, it is a syndrome characterized by gastrointestinal polyposis and ectodermal changes, the main manifestations are gastrointestinal symptoms, skin pigmentation, alopecia, and hypothyroidism. ⋯ CCS is rare, there is no specific treatment, and traditional Chinese medicine may can greatly relieve the clinical symptoms of patients. However, it's still having to be verified by a large sample, multi-center, long-term treatment follow-up studies.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Effects of amlodipine combined with atorvastatin on Th17/Treg imbalance and vascular microcirculation in hypertensive patients with atherosclerosis: A double-blind, single-center randomized controlled trial.
Helper T cells 17 (Th17) and regulatory T cells (Treg), as CD4+T lymphocyte subsets, play an important role in the process of atherosclerosis. However, there are few studies on the regulation and efficacy of atorvastatin combined with amlodipine on Th17/Treg balance in hypertension combined with carotid atherosclerosis. Therefore, this study aims to verify the efficacy and immunomodulatory effects of atorvastatin combined with amlodipine in the treatment of hypertension combined with carotid atherosclerosis. ⋯ These data indicate that amlodipine combined with atorvastatin can improve Th17/Treg imbalance, vascular endothelial function and efficacy in patients with hypertension and atherosclerosis.

To examine the prognostic value of claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2) and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2) expression in patients with resected pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). This study enrolled patients who underwent surgery and were diagnosed with PDAC at Suleyman Demirel University Hospital, Turkey between 2015 and 2019. Sixty-eight patients with resected PDAC treated at a medical oncology clinic were assessed. ⋯ Our study is the third to research CLDN18.2 expression in PDAC. HER-2 expression is low and CLDN18.2 expression is high in patients with PDAC. HER-2 expression is not related to overall survival but CLDN18.2 is related and may be used as a prognostic marker in patients with PDAC.
