Intramural pregnancy is a rare ectopic pregnancy in which the gestational sac is implanted between the muscle walls. Due to the lack of specific clinical manifestations, it is easy to misdiagnose or miss them. If it is allowed to get worse, the uterus will burst, and there will be a lot of bleeding in the later stages, which could lead to the death of the patient. ⋯ Intramural pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy, and it is difficult to diagnose early on. This may result in uterine rupture or even life-threatening hemorrhage. If an intramural pregnancy is suspected in early pregnancy, hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy is advised, and if necessary, low-dose posterior pituitary hormone can enhance uterine contractions and better reveal the position of the gestational sac within the uterine wall.

Astragalus membranaceus (AM) is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine extensively utilized in vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) treatment. However, due to the complex components of AM, its exact molecular mechanism remains unclear. Therefore, this study investigated the target and molecular mechanism of AM to treat VCI based on network pharmacology and molecular docking. ⋯ Besides, calycosin and quercetin might be the potential active compounds of AM for VCI treatment. AM intervenes in VCI through a multi-ingredient, multi-target, and multi-pathway coordination mechanism. These findings provide a foundation for a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms by which AM is effective in treating VCI.

Solitary bone plasmacytoma of the tibia presenting as chronic osteomyelitis: A rare case report and literature review.
Plasmacytoma is a rare plasma cell dyscrasia that grows within the axial skeleton or soft tissue structures as solitary or multiple masses. The primary types are solitary plasmacytoma, including solitary bone plasmacytoma (SBP) and solitary extramedullary plasmacytoma, and multiple solitary plasmacytomas. SBP is characterized by localized proliferation of monoclonal plasma cells and is rare. However, SBP with chronic osteomyelitis is even rarer. ⋯ Physicians should pay close attention to chronic osteomyelitis because it may be accompanied by plasmacytoma. Postoperative pathological and immunohistochemical examinations are crucial, and surgical resection of the lesion and local radiotherapy are effective treatment methods.

Metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma followed by a fatal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: A rare case report and literature review.
Recently, the incidence of polyoncosis has been increasing due to advancements in treatment, such as antitumor therapy, which led to a prolonged survival. However, few patients with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) develop second tumors, which render a poor prognosis. We report a rare case of PDAC, which is metachronous with a fatal malignant lymphoma (ML). ⋯ ML should be considered when intra-abdominal lymphadenopathies are detected in patients with pancreatic cancer, and ML should be differentiated from lymph node metastasis of pancreatic cancer.

To investigate the mechanism of action of the classical formula Ling-Gui-Zhu-Gan (LGZG) decoction in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus based on network pharmacology and molecular docking. The active ingredients and targets of LGZG decoction were collected by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform database and mapped using Cytoscape software to show their interrelationships. GeneCards, Pharmacogenomics Knowledge Base, OMIM, Therapeutic Target Database, and Drugbank databases were used to obtain targets related to type 2 diabetes; protein-protein interaction networks were established with the help of the STRING platform. ⋯ The results obtained by Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes indicated that the advanced glycosylation end products-receptor of advanced glycosylation end products signaling pathway, the phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase-Akt signaling pathway, and HIF-1 signaling pathway might be the key signaling pathways. Molecular docking showed that the binding energy of quercetin, kaempferol, naringenin, and licorice chalcone A to the core target genes were all <5.0 kJ-mol-1, with good affinity. In this study, the potential active ingredients and mechanisms of action of LGZG decoction in the treatment of type 2 diabetes were initially investigated, which provided a basis for the in-depth study of its drug basis and mechanisms of action.
