To explore the potential active ingredients and related mechanisms of Jiaotai Pill in the treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) based on network pharmacology and molecular docking. The main active components of Jiaotai Pills were obtained by TCMSP and BATMAN-TCM database combined with literature mining, and the targets of the active components of Jiaotai Pills were predicted by reverse pharmacophore matching (PharmMapper) method. Verifying and normalizing the obtained action targets by using a Uniprot database. ⋯ Through gene ontology functional enrichment analysis, 1690 biological process entries, 106 molecular function entries and 78 cellular component entries were obtained. Seven pathways related to T2DM were identified by Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analysis. Jiaotai Pill can achieve the purpose of treating T2DM through multiple active ingredients, multiple disease targets, multiple biological pathways and multiple pathways, which provides a theoretical basis for the clinical treatment of T2DM by Jiaotai Pill.

Review Case Reports
An obvious antinomy, superior sagittal sinus thrombosis in a patient with immune thrombocytopenia: Case report and a review of literatures.
Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an autoimmune disease with an increased risk of bleeding. However, in recent years, it has been reported that patients with this hemorrhagic disease have the risk of thrombosis and embolism. ⋯ There are many factors for ITP patients to have thrombosis involving ITP itself, its treatment and the patients' constitution, medical history, and former medication. ITP is not only a hemorrhagic disease but also a thrombotic disease. Clinicians should be alert to the risk of thrombotic diseases in ITP treatment. Therefore thrombus monitoring and screening should be carried out, and early prevention or appropriate anticoagulant treatment should be selected, especially for patients with high risk.

Ultrasound-guided brachial plexus nerve block in a patient with a left palmar schwannoma: A case report.
Ultrasound-guided brachial plexus block is a common anesthetic procedure used in upper extremity surgery. However, it may not be a suitable option for some patients. ⋯ Even if there is painless when skin-cutting after implementation of brachial plexus block, the patient is painful when pulls the nerve around the tumor during excision. It is necessary to give an analgesic drug or anesthetize a single terminal nerve as a supplement for brachial plexus block in patients with schwannoma.

This study aimed to formulate reliable nomograms for predicting the outcomes of α-fetoprotein (AFP)-negative hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients after chemotherapy. HCC patients with normal AFP expression who received chemotherapy were screened and evaluated from the surveillance, epidemiology, and end results database. The prognostic factors for predicting outcomes of HCC patients undergoing chemotherapy were chosen by analyzing the results of Cox analyses. ⋯ The validation groups produced AUC values of 0.674 and 0.736 for 3- and 5-year OS, which were superior to those of the TNM stage (0.601 and 0.637) in validation groups. The results revealed significantly unfavorable OS in the high-risk group (P < .001). Nomograms to accurately predict the OS for AFP-negative HCC patients after chemotherapy were established and exhibited a more accurate predication than the conventional TNM staging system.

Gastric hamartomatous inverted polyps (GHIP) is not a common disease, and it has rarely been reported in the literature. Preoperative diagnosis is difficult due to the deep position and surface covered with normal gastric mucosa. However, with the progress of endoscopic technology, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) can play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of GHIP. ⋯ GHIP is located in the submucosa layer and has the potential risk of malignant transformation. However, it is not easy to diagnose by using gastroscopy and ultrasound gastroscopy. ESD can obtain complete specimens, which contributes to the diagnosis and treatment of GHIP.
