This study assessed the efficacy of the enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocol in operating room nursing care for patients who underwent single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic lung cancer surgery. The study included 82 surgical lung cancer cases. The patients underwent single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic lung cancer surgery between April 1, 2021, and June 31, 2022. ⋯ Other indicators were not significantly different between the 2 groups. Our results show that the implementation of an ERAS protocol in operating room nursing care is feasible and should be clinically applied. The ERAS protocol may enhance the recovery of patients who underwent single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic lung cancer surgery.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
Comparative evaluation of rapidity of action of benzydamine hydrochloride 0.3% oromucosal spray and benzydamine hydrochloride 3 mg lozenges in patients with acute sore throat: A phase IV randomized trial.
Acute sore throat (ST) can occur as part of a common cold of viral origin or caused by pharyngeal bacterial pathogens. The majority of patients with acute ST complain of pain on swallowing and dry scratchiness which can have a negative impact on the quality of life (QoL). This study aimed to evaluate the time to pain relief in patients with acute ST, following a single administration of benzydamine hydrochloride (HCl) 0.3% oromucosal spray or benzydamine HCl 3 mg lozenges. ⋯ Anesthetic and analgesic properties of benzydamine spray and lozenges effectively addressed the patient priority of a rapid relief of symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections (URTI).

Meta Analysis
The impact of heat waves on the mortality of Chinese population: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Many studies had shown that with global warming, heat waves may increase the mortality risk of Chinese populations. However, these findings are not consistent. Therefore, we elucidated the associations by meta-analysis and quantified the magnitude of these risks, as well as the underlying factors. ⋯ The results of the review indicated that heat waves were associated with increased mortality in the Chinese population, that attention should be paid to high-risk groups, and that public health policies and strategies should be implemented to more effectively respond to and adapt to climate change.

Primary dysmenorrhea (PD) is a common problem among women. It is defined as any degree of perceived cramping pain during menstruation without any evident pathology. Auricular therapy (AT), a widely used alternative medical treatment method as part of traditional Chinese acupuncture, lacks reliable evidence to support its safety and effectiveness for PD. We aimed to conduct a meta-analysis to investigate the efficacy and safety of AT in PD and to investigate possible factors impacting the particular efficacy of AT in PD by meta-regression. ⋯ This systematic evaluation will objectively and systematically assess the efficacy and safety of AT in PD based on the available evidence, as well as provides clinicians with evidence to support the treatment of the disease.

Review Case Reports
An obvious antinomy, superior sagittal sinus thrombosis in a patient with immune thrombocytopenia: Case report and a review of literatures.
Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an autoimmune disease with an increased risk of bleeding. However, in recent years, it has been reported that patients with this hemorrhagic disease have the risk of thrombosis and embolism. ⋯ There are many factors for ITP patients to have thrombosis involving ITP itself, its treatment and the patients' constitution, medical history, and former medication. ITP is not only a hemorrhagic disease but also a thrombotic disease. Clinicians should be alert to the risk of thrombotic diseases in ITP treatment. Therefore thrombus monitoring and screening should be carried out, and early prevention or appropriate anticoagulant treatment should be selected, especially for patients with high risk.
