Closed reduction (CR) as an initial treatment for developmental hip dysplasia of the hip (DDH) in children aged 24 to 36 months is debatable; however, it could have better results than open reduction (OR) or osteotomies, because it is minimally invasive. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the radiological results in children (24-36 months) with DDH initially treated with CR. Initial, subsequent, final anteroposterior pelvic radiological records were retrospectively analyzed. ⋯ Hips with DDH treated with CR initially might had better radiological results than those treated with OR and femoral and pelvic osteotomies. Regular, good, and excellent results, ≥4 points on the Ömeroğlu system, could be estimated in 57% of the cases, in whom CR was successful. AVN is frequently observed in hips with failed CR.

Uterine mesothelial cysts represent a diagnostic challenge because of their low incidence, with very few cases reported in the English literature. ⋯ Uterine mesothelial cysts are extremely rare. They are often misdiagnosed by clinicians as extrauterine masses or cystic degeneration of leiomyomas. This report aims to share a rare case of uterine mesothelial cyst and improve gynecologists' academic vision of the disease.

Few predictive studies have been reported on the efficacy of atorvastatin in reducing lipoprotein cholesterol to be qualified after 1-month course of treatment in different individuals. A total of 14,180 community-based residents aged ≥ 65 received health checkup, 1013 of whom had low-density lipoprotein (LDL) higher than 2.6mmol/L so that they were put on 1-month course of treatment with atorvastatin. At its completion, lipoprotein cholesterol was measured again. ⋯ As to the prediction of total cholesterol, the sensitivity, 94.38%; and the specificity, 96.55%. And in the case of high-density lipoprotein (HDL), the sensitivity, 84.86%; and the specificity, 100%. recursive feature elimination analysis showed that total cholesterol was the most important feature of atorvastatin efficacy of reducing LDL; that HDL was the most important one of its efficacies of reducing triglycerides; that LDL was the most important one of its efficacies of reducing total cholesterol; and that triglyceride was the most important one of its efficacies of reducing HDL. Random-forest can help predict whether atorvastatin efficacy of reducing lipoprotein cholesterol to be qualified after 1-month course of treatment in different individuals.

Meta Analysis
Astragalus membranaceus formula for moderate-high risk idiopathic membranous nephropathy: A meta-analysis.
Idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN) is a noninflammatory autoimmune glomerulonephropathy. Based on the risk stratification for disease progression, conservative nonimmunosuppressive and immunosuppressive therapy strategies have been recommended. However, there remains challenges. Therefore, novel approaches to treat IMN are needed. We evaluated the efficacy of Astragalus membranaceus (A membranaceus) combined with supportive care or immunosuppressive therapy in the treatment of moderate-high risk IMN. ⋯ Adjunctive use of A membranaceus preparations combined with supportive care or immunosuppressive therapy have a promising treatment for improving complete response rate, partial response rate, serum albumin, and reducing proteinuria, serum creatinine levels compared to immunosuppressive therapy in people with MN being at moderate-high risk for disease progression. Given the inherent limitations of the included studies, future well-designed randomized controlled trials are required to confirm and update the findings of this analysis.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
The effects of Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856 on functional gas and bloating in adults: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study.
Gut microbiome dysbiosis is a major cause of abdominal gas, bloating, and distension. Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856 (LactoSpore) is a spore-forming, thermostable, lactic acid-producing probiotic that has numerous health benefits. We evaluated the effect of Lacto Spore on improving the clinical symptoms of functional gas and bloating in healthy adults. ⋯ Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856 may be a potential supplement to reduce gastrointestinal symptoms in adults with abdominal gas and distension.
