This study explored the safety and feasibility of uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic (VATS) paretal pleurectomy in patients suffering from complex tuberculous pneumothorax. These cases were reported and summarized to present the experience of the authors with this procedure. ⋯ Parietal pleurectomy with preservation of the top pleura via VATS is a safe and satisfactorily effective procedure for patients with refractory tuberculous pneumothorax.

Development of a home-based cognitive test for cognitive monitoring in subjective cognitive decline with high risk of Alzheimer's disease.
Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) indicates a self-perceived persistent cognitive worsening despite of normal performance in standard neuropsychological tests. Owing to its heterogeneity and potential risk of Alzheimer's disease, baseline biomarkers to predict cognitive decline are important. In the present study, we developed a home-based cognitive test (HCT) to monitor cognitive changes regularly without visiting hospitals. This study aims to compare cognitive and biomarker trajectories during a 48-month period between amyloid positive SCD and amyloid negative SCD subjects. ⋯ This study would suggest a perspective on SCD in terms of cognitive and biomarker trajectories. Baseline characteristics and biomarker status might affect faster cognitive decline and future biomarker trajectories. In addition, HCT could be an alternative option of in-person neuropsychological tests to track cognitive changes without visiting hospitals.

Postpartum urinary incontinence affects women's quality of life. It is associated with different risk factors during pregnancy and childbirth. We evaluated the persistence of postpartum urinary incontinence and associated risk factors among recently delivered nulliparous women with incontinence during pregnancy. ⋯ Childbirth-related risk factors were also not statistically significant. Recovery from incontinence during pregnancy in nulliparous women was over 85% as postpartum urinary incontinence affected only a small proportion at 3 months following delivery. Expectant management is advised instead of invasive interventions in these patients.

Coronary pseudoaneurysm (CPA) are associated with iatrogenic coronary artery dissection or perforation, which rarely reported formation early after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for chronic total occlusion (CTO). This study reported a case of CPA that developed 4 weeks after PCI for CTO. ⋯ CPA might develop within weeks after PCI for CTO. While it could be successfully treated by the implantation of a Polytetrafluoroethylene-coated stent.

Uterine mesothelial cysts represent a diagnostic challenge because of their low incidence, with very few cases reported in the English literature. ⋯ Uterine mesothelial cysts are extremely rare. They are often misdiagnosed by clinicians as extrauterine masses or cystic degeneration of leiomyomas. This report aims to share a rare case of uterine mesothelial cyst and improve gynecologists' academic vision of the disease.
