Meta Analysis
Obstetric, maternal, and neonatal outcomes after Pilates exercise during pregnancy: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
One of the major exercises to improve the psychological and physical functions of pregnant women is Pilate's exercises. The aim of this study is to collect evidence about Pilates exercise effects on many consequences in pregnant women, such as maternal and neonatal outcomes and obstetric outcomes. ⋯ Pilates exercise improved the outcomes of pregnant women. It decreases the rate of Cesarean delivery and the time of delivery. Moreover, Pilates has a role in decreasing weight gain in pregnant women. As a result, that may improve the pregnancy experience for women. However, more RCTs needed with larger sample sizes to assess the Pilates effect on neonatal outcomes.

The efficacy of vericiguat for heart failure: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
The efficacy of vericiguat was elusive for heart failure. This meta-analysis aimed to explore the efficacy of vericiguat for heart failure. ⋯ Vericiguat treatment may benefit to treat heart failure.

Diagnostic accuracy of circulating exosomal circRNAs in malignances: A meta-analysis and systematic review.
Pathogenesis of malignant tumors are often accompanied by aberrant expression of circular RNAs (circRNAs), indicating the potential diagnostic value of circRNAs in tumors. CircRNAs have been found to be enriched, stable and ubiquitous in serum and plasma exosomes. The study aims at evaluating the diagnostic performance of circulating (plasma and serum) exosomal circRNA in different types of cancer by synthesis of published data. ⋯ In conclusion, our study evaluated the diagnostic power of circulating exosomal circRNAs in 6 types of cancer by synthesis of published data comprising 21 studies from eleven articles. The pooled analysis provided the evidence supporting circulating exosomal circRNAs as a promising noninvasive diagnostic biomarkers for malignancies.

Multicenter Study
Changes in chronic disease medications after admission to a Geriatric Health Services Facility: A multi-center prospective cohort study.
Older adults often receive polypharmacy, including some medications for chronic diseases. Nutritional management after admission to a nursing home may enable to deprescribe some chronic disease medications. This study aimed to investigate the status of deprescribing of chronic disease medications among nursing home residents, and to assess the appropriateness based on changes of laboratory test values and nutritional status. ⋯ However, there were no statistically significant changes in the frequencies of antihypertensive drugs (60 to 55; 92%; P = .063) or antidiabetic drugs (13 to 12; 92%; P = 1.000). During the 3-month observation, body mass index and diastolic blood pressure decreased, while energy intake and serum albumin level increased. Nutritional management after admission to a ROKEN may facilitate appropriate deprescribing of lipid-modifying drugs, by offseting the effects of discontinuation of these drugs.

Review Case Reports
Proliferative verrucous/multifocal leukoplakia: Updates and literature review "case report".
Proliferative verrucous leukoplakia (PVL) is a multifocal, slowly evolving lesion that resists all types of treatment and has a high propensity for malignant transformation into oral squamous cell carcinoma. Lack of awareness and acquaintance with white lesions of the oral cavity makes it difficult to diagnose. Besides being rare, PVL significantly aggressive, so clinicians need to be aware of it carefully. Therefore, it is recommended to have the earliest possible diagnosis and total excision of this lesion. We report this case to present typical clinical and histologic features of PVL so a For the purpose of sensitizing clinician. ⋯ The key feature is early detection, precisely in cases of PVL it is critical for better treatment outcomes, lifesaving, quality-of-life enhancement. To detect and treat any potential pathologies, clinicians should meticulously examine the oral cavity and patients have to be aware and informed of the importance of regular screenings. This lesion is resistant to the presently available treatment modalities; therefore, total excision with free surgical margins is critical combined with a lifelong follow-up.
