Mind mapping is a combination of images and logical thinking in the form of pictures and texts. It presents a natural expression process that conforms to the divergent thinking of the brain, helping patients understand memory. This study aimed to investigate the impact of pain-education nursing with the aid of mind maps on postoperative pain scores and quality of life in patients with colorectal cancer. ⋯ After nursing, the observation group's visual analog scale scores at different times after the operation were significantly lower than those of the control group. The scores on the self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < .05). Pain-education nursing based on mind maps can effectively improve the daily living ability, pain symptoms, and quality of life of patients after colorectal cancer, and there is a reference value for post-nursing care of patients after colorectal cancer.

Many tools are used to predict difficult airway, including bedside screening tests, radiological variables, and ultrasonography. However, the "gold standard" to identify difficult airway before intubation has not been established. The assessment and prediction of difficult airway is receiving increasing attention in clinical practice due to the devastating results of failed oxygenation or intubation. ⋯ Co-occurrence overlay analysis showed that video laryngoscopes and index prediction (including computed tomography and ultrasonography), emerged recently and comprised an important percentage of current studies. It can be predicted that future studies should focus on understanding the upper airway anatomy and constructing risk index predictions. Based on current global research trends, risk index predictions are the next hot topics in the evaluation and prediction of difficult airways, and video laryngoscopes will continue to be a hot topic in this field.

In this study, we evaluated the outcomes of flap surgery and the incidence of acute kidney injury (AKI) in patients who underwent flap surgery using a fluid-restrictive strategy. We retrospectively reviewed the consecutively collected medical records of patients who underwent flap surgery using the fluid-restrictive strategy of our hospital. The patients were divided into 2 groups based on the period of flap surgery: 2011 to 2014 (initiation period of the fluid-restrictive strategy) and 2015 to 2020 (implementation period). ⋯ In multivariate analysis, the odds ratio for success was 2.759 (95% confidence interval: 1.140-6.679) in 2015 to 2020 compared to 2011 to 2014. After successfully implementing the fluid-restrictive strategy, the success rate of flap surgery significantly increased without any further increase in the incidence of AKI. Our experience could serve as a model for implementing a fluid-restrictive strategy in flap surgery.

With the rise of positive psychology, educators gradually pay attention to the construction of psychological capital of college students. Mindfulness is linked to learning burnout; however, little research has examined how mindfulness is associated with learning burnout via future time perspective. The aims of this study were to investigate the relationship between mindfulness state, future time perspective and learning burnout of college students, and explore the mediating effect of future time perspective on mindfulness and learning burnout. ⋯ There was negative correlation between positive mindfulness and learning burnout (r = -0.41, P < .01), and positive correlation between future time perspective and mindfulness (r = 0.38, P < .01), and negative correlation with learning burnout (r = -0.37, P < .01). Furthermore, future time perspective (β = -0.40, P < .01) had a significant mediating effect on the relationship between mindfulness and learning burnout. Educators should improve the mindfulness of college students by developing and implementing future time perspective, in order to improve their learning burnout.

There is a lack of best evidence of intravenous compounding robots for hospital decision-makers. This study aimed to conduct a systematic review of intravenous compounding robots. ⋯ Intravenous compounding robots have certain advantages in terms of effectiveness, safety, economy, and social adaptability.
