In this study, we explored the prognostic risk factors of elderly patients (≥65 years old) with lymph node-negative esophageal cancer (EC) and established a nomogram to evaluate the cancer-specific survival of patients. The surveillance, epidemiology, and end results database was used to collect data on patients diagnosed with EC. Univariate and multivariate Cox analyses were used to determine independent prognostic factors, and the nomogram for predicting cancer-specific survival of EC patients was constructed based on the independent prognostic factors obtained from the multivariate Cox analysis. ⋯ Decision curve analysis showed the good clinical utility of the nomogram. The risk stratification system was established using the Kaplan-Meier curve and verified by the log-rank test (P < .001). The nomogram and risk stratification system can improve the accuracy of prediction to help clinicians identify high-risk patients and make treatment decisions.

Multiple primary malignant tumors are rare and challenging to diagnose. Diffuse malignant peritoneal mesothelioma (DMPM) originate from the peritoneum, which lacks specific clinical manifestations and is difficult to diagnose, with a short survival about 10 to 13 months for inoperable ones. This is the first report of metachronous double primary malignant tumors in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and DMPM accompanied with paraneoplastic syndromes. ⋯ This indicate that comprehensive treatment including immunotherapy may be helpful for inoperable DMPM patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma accompanied with paraneoplastic syndromes.

EGFR-TKI (tyrosine kinase inhibitor) monotherapy has become the first-line treatment option for patients with EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Prolonging the survival time, improving the progression-free survival of front-line treatment, and delaying the occurrence of drug resistance. At present, combination therapy is being widely used. Evaluate the therapeutic effect of TKI joint and Osimertinib drug therapy for positive patients with gene positive. ⋯ Osimertinib has the lowest side effects and provides better PFS first-line treatment in advanced EGFR-mutated NSCLC.GCP is the best regimen for OS, but its toxicity limits its application, and it may be the first choice for patients with higher survival requirements.

Meta Analysis
Clinical efficacy of botulinum toxin type A in the treatment of fasciitis pain: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
The purpose of this meta-analysis was to assess the effectiveness of botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A) in reducing pain associated with fasciitis. By synthesizing the findings from multiple studies, we aimed to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the current evidence regarding the efficacy of BoNT-A in the treatment of fasciitis pain. ⋯ BoNT-A has a significant analgesic effect on fasciitis pain. Therefore, BoNT-A presents a promising alternative treatment option for fasciitis (PROSPERO 2022: CRD42022382805).

Review Case Reports
Primary gastric tuberculosis was misdiagnosed as submucosal mass: A rare case report and review of literature.
Tuberculosis of stomach is the rarest form of the tuberculosis family. It is not only lacks specificity in clinical symptoms, but also lacks specificity in auxiliary examination results such as upper gastrointestinal barium meal and gastroscopy. In addition, gastric tuberculosis can coexist with gastric ulcer or gastric cancer, which is difficult to confirm the diagnosis and easy to misdiagnose. ⋯ We performed endoscopic ultrasonography and histopathological biopsy for the patient, and found that the "submucosal mass" was actually a gastric tuberculosis lesion. After confirming the diagnosis of gastric tuberculosis, we transferred the patient to a tuberculosis specialist hospital for antituberculosis treatment.Through a series of literature review, we rediscuss the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of gastric tuberculosis, aiming at improving the understanding of gastroenterologists to this disease, so as to timely diagnose and treat patients with gastric tuberculosis.
