Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most malignant tumors with a poor prognosis. The long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) has been found to have great potential as a prognostic biomarker or therapeutic target for cancer patients. However, the prognostic value and tumor immune infiltration of lncRNAs in HCC has yet to be fully elucidated. ⋯ A 6-lncRNA panel of HCC consisting of RHPN1-AS1, LINC01224, CTD-2510F5.4, RP1-228H13.5, LINC01011, and RP11-324I22.4 was eventually identified, and show good performance in predicting the survivals of patients with HCC and distinguishing the immunomodulation of TIME of high- and low-risk patients. Functional analysis also suggested that this 6-lncRNA panel may play an essential role in promoting tumor progression and immune regulation of TIME. In this study, 6 potential lncRNAs were identified as the prognostic biomarkers in HCC, and the regulatory mechanisms involved in HCC were initially explored.

The incidence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is increasing year by year in children. The aim of the study was to find possible biomarkers for ASD diagnosis as well as examine MicroRNA (miRNA) signatures and crucial pathways. We conducted a two-stage study to explore potential target genes and functional miRNAs. ⋯ Additionally, we discovered 18 different immune cell types associated with ASD using the CIBERSORT algorithm, and we discovered that mononuclear macrophages differed considerably between the 2 groups. Overall, 3 hub genes (ADIPOR1, LGALS3, and GZMB) and 15 candidates miRNAs-target 3 genes regulatory pathways representing potentially novel biomarkers of ASD diseases were revealed. These findings could enhance our knowledge of ASD and offer possible therapeutic targets of ASD patients in the future.

In our study, the 101 most cited publications in the field of "Immunology" in the Web of Science (WoS) database were evaluated bibliometrically. The "WoS" database "advanced mode" was used in this study. A search was conducted in the field of "Immunology." The top 101 most-cited publications were then identified. ⋯ A significant relationship was found between the study type, impact factor of the journal, continent of journal and publisher, funding status, year of publication, and number of citations per year (P < .05). Our study is the first to analyze the top 101 most-cited studies in the field of "immunology" and their citation characteristics. The study's journals, publishers, publication features, funding status, and publication year affect the number of citations per year.

In recent few years, high-flow nasal oxygenation (HFNO) has been widely used for management of acute hypoxemic respiratory failure and during postextubation periods, including after endotracheal intubation general anesthesia (ETGA). However, HFNO generates positive pressure in the injured airway following removal of endotracheal tube may cause airway leaks. This is the first case report of severe airway leak syndrome following postextubation use of HFNO in surgical patients. ⋯ Air leaks in the upper airway can occur during the use of post-extubation HFNO use, and the resulting subcutaneous emphysema can progress to severe intrathoracic infections in surgical patients who have a sternotomy wound. Therefore, HFNO-induced subcutaneous emphysema should be treated more aggressively in open thoracic or sternotomy surgeries to prevent the development of intrathoracic sepsis.
