Case Reports
Root canal treatment of a six-canal first mandibular molar with extensive periapical lesion: A case report.
There is an increasing tendency for case reports to reveal anatomical aberrances in mandibular first molars, such as the lateral and accessory canals. Thus, clinicians should pay special attention to anatomic variances when dealing with mandibular first molars requiring endodontic treatment to prevent reinfection within the root canal system, which is responsible for the failure of root canal treatment. ⋯ The present case emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive understanding of root canal morphology, especially rare anatomical variations, to ensure successful root canal treatment. Additionally, the case report adds to the library of previously reported cases of extensive periapical lesions with a direct connection to the root canal system, which demonstrates the potential clinical advantages of root canal therapy as a conservative nonsurgical approach in these cases.

Ferroptosis may improve the efficacy of tumor treatment, according to recent evidences. This study is to explore value of histone deacetylases 1 (HDAC1), ATP binding cassette subfamily B member 1 and ferroptosis-related proteins as potential predictive biomarkers. Eighty-two women who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) confirmed breast cancer was included. ⋯ The expression of HDAC1 and glutathione peroxidase 4 before NAC was an independent predictor of imaging efficacy (OR = 7.633, CI 1.831-31.821, P < .001; OR = 0.700, CI 0.505-0.971, P < .05, respectively). HDAC1 and Glutathione peroxidase 4 may act as a new predictive biomarker for NAC in breast cancer. And personalized treatment can be provided based on them.

To explore the deep mechanisms of ursolic acid (UA) for treating atherosclerosis based on network pharmacology and bioinformatics. UA target genes were derived from traditional Chinese medicine system pharmacology, BATMAN-TCM, and SwissTargetPrediction databases. Atherosclerosis-related genes were derived from genecards, NCBI genes, and OMIM databases. ⋯ The results of the ceRNA analysis indicated that there were 43 targeted miRNAs in AR and 3 miRNAs in IL1B. We speculate that the target genes of UA regulating atherosclerosis are AR and IL1B. The mechanism may be that UA regulates the expression of target genes by regulating the methylation of target genes.

Reports from past studies indicated that research on anxiety disorder is not extensive and further investigation is needed using different populations. Besides, psychological intervention for computer anxiety has not been given the required empirical attention. Given this, we investigated the effectiveness of rational emotive behavior education on computer anxiety among primary school teachers enrolled in e-learning. ⋯ The ANOVA results showed that rational emotive behavior education significantly decreased teachers computer anxiety. The mean computer anxiety score among instructors did not significantly differ by group or gender. Therefore, we recommended that computer educators, policymakers, and rational emotive behavior educators should organize rational and emotive-oriented conferences for schoolteachers.

Meta Analysis
Clinical efficacy of botulinum toxin type A in the treatment of fasciitis pain: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
The purpose of this meta-analysis was to assess the effectiveness of botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A) in reducing pain associated with fasciitis. By synthesizing the findings from multiple studies, we aimed to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the current evidence regarding the efficacy of BoNT-A in the treatment of fasciitis pain. ⋯ BoNT-A has a significant analgesic effect on fasciitis pain. Therefore, BoNT-A presents a promising alternative treatment option for fasciitis (PROSPERO 2022: CRD42022382805).
