Observational Study
Correlation of serum HMGB1 and HMGB2 levels with clinical symptoms in allergic rhinitis children.
This research aimed to explore the serum high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) and high-mobility group box 2 (HMGB2) levels in allergic rhinitis (AR) children and its correlation with clinical results. This present prospective observational study enrolled 179 AR children and 100 healthy children who came to our hospital during October 2020 to August 2022. The serum HMGB1, HMGB2, interleukin (IL)-6, IL-1β, interferon-γ, and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. ⋯ Finally, we found that HMGB1, HMGB2, IL-6, IL-1β, and family history of allergy were the risk factors for AR. This study showed that the serum HMGB1 and HMGB2 levels was remarkably enhanced in AR patients and closely associated with cytokines. This study may provide new targets and a comprehensive approach for the treatment of AR patients.

This study evaluated the effects of antibiotics on the implantation rate (IR) as well as the optimal time interval from endometrial biopsy to subsequent embryo transfer (ET) to explore proper chronic endometritis (CE) management. We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of patients who had failed 1 or 2 ET cycles and underwent hysteroscopy. CE was diagnosed when 3 or more cluster of differentiation138 - positive plasma cells were found per high-power field. ⋯ Furthermore, while the IR in Groups 1 and 3 was significantly higher when the time interval was < 6 months than when the time interval was > 6 months, there were no significant differences in the IR when the time interval was < 2 months or ≥ 2 months but < 6 months. Postbiopsy oral antibiotic therapy significantly improved IR in patients with CE, whereas increasing the time interval from biopsy to ET reduced IR. This study may help to find a higher potential for success in the medical management of patients with CE.

Case Reports
Pulmonary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma with Sjögren's syndrome and literature review: A case report.
A 54-year-old woman was admitted to hospital with chest tightness, shortness of breath, and chest pain on exertion. Her chest computed tomography showed a space-occupying lesion in the right lower lobe of the lung. ⋯ Autoimmune diseases like SS and systemic lupus erythematosus are recognized risk factors for pulmonary MALT. It is necessary to identify predictors of malignant transformation of SS to pulmonary MALT lymphoma.

Bipolar disorder (BD) is a chronic and clinically complex disease, characterized by pathological disturbances in mood and energy. Cytokines can access the brain and their signaling pathways affect brain functions, such as neurotransmitter metabolism, neuroendocrine function, neural/synaptic plasticity, and mood neural circuitry. JAK 1 is the most common phosphorylation protein combined with the tyrosine kinase cytokine receptors; therefore, we investigated the association between the Janus family kinase 1 (JAK1) gene polymorphisms (rs2780895, rs4244165, and rs17127024) and susceptibility to BD. ⋯ However, the G-allele of rs4244165 in JAK1 is associated with the highest level of the brief psychiatric rating scale in patients with bipolar disorder. The JAK/signal transducer and activator of transcription pathway is an interesting therapeutic route that requires further investigations. Studying their regulatory regions can provide a clearer picture of all the interactions involved in the regulation of genetic expression in response to treatment.

Based on network pharmacology and molecular docking, we investigated the mechanism of action of Sheng Xue Bao mixture (SXBM) in treating iron deficiency anemia (IDA). We screened the HERB and traditional Chinese medicine systems pharmacology database and analysis platform databases to identify the active ingredients and targets of SXBM. The targets associated with "iron deficiency anemia" were collected from GeneCards, TTD, and OMIM databases. ⋯ The molecular docking results demonstrated strong interactions between key components and their respective target proteins. Network pharmacological analysis suggested that SXBM could treat IDA by regulating various biological processes and related signaling pathways. It laid the foundation for further elucidating the molecular mechanism of SXBM treatment of IDA.
