Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) is a common pathogen, and about 50% of the world population have been infected with it, so the infection of H pylori has been an urgent public health problem worldwide. H pylori has evolved a variety of strategies to help itself colonize, adapt to the environment and proliferate. ⋯ Therefore, CG may be a new target to weaken the infection effect of H pylori. The biosynthesis process, structure and biological function of CG specific to H pylori, as well as anti-CG drugs are discussed and analyzed in this review, in order to explore whether the inhibition of CG synthesis can be an effective strategy to eradicate H pylori.

The potential role of CDC20 in tumorigenesis, cancer progression and therapy: A narrative review.
The cell division cycle 20 homologue (CDC20) is known to regulate the cell cycle. Many studies have suggested that dysregulation of CDC20 is associated with various pathological processes in malignant solid tumors, including tumorigenesis, progression, chemoradiotherapy resistance, and poor prognosis, providing a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. ⋯ Furthermore, we briefly synthesized multiple medicines that inhibited CDC20. We anticipate that CDC20 will be a promising and effective biomarker and therapeutic target for the treatment of human cancer.

To compare the effect of laparoscopic surgery and open surgery on the quality of life of patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) in the growth period after the operation, and to provide a reference for surgical treatment decisions of patients with CRC. ⋯ Compared with open surgery, laparoscopic surgery has weak advantages. There was no noteworthy difference in the long-term quality of life between the 2 surgical treatments for CRC patients. Whether laparoscopic surgery can bring more improvement to the quality of life of patients with CRC needs more high-quality clinical randomized studies to verify.

In recent years, there has been a substantial increase in the number of adolescent students attending extracurricular tutoring. However, extracurricular tutoring, being a distinct form of education, may have varying effects on cognitive capabilities compared to conventional education. Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to conduct a thorough examination of the effects of extracurricular tutoring on cognitive abilities among adolescent students. ⋯ Furthermore, a propensity score-matched analysis was conducted in order to mitigate potential bias by using confounding variables identified in the previous step. The study results show that participation in extracurricular tutoring can significantly increase the level of cognitive ability of adolescent students, with adjustments made for age, gender, ethnicity, number of family members, net family income per capita, education and training expenditure in the past years, change of residence for enrollment, change of domicile address for enrollment, locality of the current school, class size, hold a position as a class cadre, average daily study time on weekdays, average study time per day during weekends. The findings imply that the government should provide tutorial subsidies to disadvantaged groups of adolescent students, allocate educational resources equitably, and invest more in education resources in less developed regions to foster fair and healthy development of education and improve the cognitive abilities of young students in the long-term.

The study was aimed to explore cell division cycle-associated protein-3 (CDCA3) expression and its correlation with clinicopathological characteristics, and identification of co-expressed genes of CDCA3 in prostate cancer (PCa). ⋯ CDCA3 is significantly associated with the prognosis of PCa, which may be an indicator of the diagnosis and prognosis of PCa and a new therapeutic target.
