Review Case Reports
Cytologic features of gastric-type endocervical adenocarcinoma: Three cases report and literature review.
Cervical gastric-type adenocarcinoma shows gastric differentiation, and the tumor cell morphology appears benign and unrelated to human papillomavirus, which makes cervical gastric-type adenocarcinoma highly susceptible to misdiagnosis as normal glandular epithelium in cytologic diagnosis. ⋯ The "drunken honeycomb" cell arrangement is diagnostically important in liquid-based cytology, especially when three-dimensional spheroids are present, and may be a characteristic cytological finding of well-differentiated cervical gastric-type adenocarcinoma.

This study aimed to investigate the association between gout and cancer risk. ⋯ Our study suggests that gout is a risk factor for cancer, especially for stomach, liver, lung, and bladder cancers. Patients with gout have an increased risk of developing overall cancers, lung cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer, and bladder cancer. However, more high-quality epidemiologic studies are needed to explore the association between gout and individual cancers more accurately.

The application of basic SMAS rhytidectomy and comprehensive SMAS rhytidectomy.
Rhytidectomy has made great progress in the past 50 years, especially after the proposition of the concept of superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS). Our previous research had classified SMAS rhytidectomy into basic SMAS rhytidectomy (B-SMAS) and comprehensive SMAS rhytidectomy (C-SMAS) according to whether the treatment of SMAS aponeurosis is combined with retaining ligament, fat pad, mimetic muscles, etc. The purpose of this paper is to compare the outcomes of the 2 methods. ⋯ Both B-SMAS and C-SMAS are beneficial to facial rejuvenation. The effects in middle and lower face are better than upper face. In addition, C-SMAS may be more effective than B-SMAS.

Improving pregnancy outcomes in patients with recurrent implantation failure: The power of RNA-seq-based endometrial receptivity testing.
To evaluate whether RNA-seq-based endometrial receptivity testing (rsERT) can improve pregnancy outcomes in personalized frozen-thawed embryo transfer (pFET) during hormone replacement therapy (HRT) cycles among patients with recurrent implantation failure (RIF). We conducted a retrospective cohort study involving 98 RIF patients undergoing HRT for FET. The experimental group consisted of 58 patients who underwent pFET after rsERT, while the control group included 40 patients who refused rsERT and underwent conventional ET. ⋯ The HCG-positive rate, implantation rate, and clinical pregnancy rate (CPR) in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, at 75.86% versus 50.00% (P = .030), 56.38% versus 31.43% (P = .002), and 68.97% versus 47.50% (P = .033), respectively. Our study demonstrated that utilizing rsERT technology to guide pFET in HRT cycles significantly enhances implantation and CPRs in RIF patients. Importantly, our findings confirm the effectiveness of rsERT technology and establish a scientific rationale for personalized reproductive medical interventions.

Shoulder pain is a common type of musculoskeletal pain. While musculoskeletal issues are primary causes of shoulder pain, it is important to note that referred pain in the shoulder area can also originate from non-musculoskeletal problems. ⋯ This case underscores the importance of considering systemic conditions in patients presenting with seemingly localized symptoms such as shoulder pain. It highlights the significance of thorough evaluation and prompt referral for further investigations when necessary.
