To explore the clinical application value of radiomics model based on pericoronary adipose tissue (PCAT) in predicting coronary heart disease. A retrospective analysis was performed for inpatients who had undergone coronary computed tomography angiography from January to December 2023, and 164 cases of coronary artery lesions were screened as the lesion group and 190 cases of normal coronary artery samples were selected as the control group. The clinical data and imaging data of all patients were collected, the radiomics features were extracted by relevant software, and the "region of interest" of pericoronary fat was delineated, and the selection operator and multivariate logistic regression were used to screen the radiomic features of pericoronary fat. ⋯ In the test set, the model has a negative net return with only a small number of threshold probabilities. After combining the clinical characteristics model, the evaluation accuracy of the model for coronary heart disease can reach 0.896. PCAT radiomics model based on coronary computed tomography angiography can effectively predict and evaluate coronary heart disease, which is of great value for the clinical diagnosis of coronary artery disease.

Observational Study
Expression of osteopontin and osteocalcin in Osteoblast cells exposed to a combination of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and hydroxyapatite (HAp): A prospective observational study.
The success of implant placement will depend on the ability of the implant material to integrate with the surrounding tissue. Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) has been used as an implant material, but it has several fallback properties in its interaction with bone tissue. The addition of hydroxyapatite (HAp) to PMMA is expected to produce reinforced bioceramic polymers with better mechanical and biological properties. ⋯ The expression of osteopontin and osteocalcin in the PMMA-HApGMP group increased significantly (P < .05) on day 14. The PMMA-HAp combination material can accelerate the process of osteoblast differentiation which is characterized by an increase in osteopontin and osteocalcin which are markers of bone formation. This will support in increasing osseointegration.

Breast cancer (BC) is 1 of the most common malignant tumors among women globally. This study aimed to develop a prognostic signature based on aggrephagy-related genes (ARGs). Transcriptomic and clinical data for BC patients were downloaded from the cancer genome atlas and GEO databases. ⋯ A nomogram incorporating the risk signature, clinical stage and chemotherapy was constructed, demonstrating excellent performance in predicting prognosis. The expression of signature-related genes were validated in patients with BC. This study successfully constructed molecular subtypes and a prognostic signature based on ARGs in BC, and developed a nomogram.

The Guanxin Shutong capsule (GXST), a traditional Chinese medicine, is commonly used for treating cardiovascular disease, it has shown efficacy in improving symptoms and enhancing the quality of life for patients with heart failure (HF). However, the specific mechanism of action of GXST in HF remains unclear. In this study, we employed a comprehensive approach combining network pharmacology, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, and in vitro validations to investigate the potential targets and molecular mechanisms of GXST against HF. ⋯ Notably, consistent with the in silico predictions, GXST effectively activates the VEGFR2/AKT/eNOS signaling pathways in HUVECs. This study provides insights into the underlying mechanism of GXST's therapeutic effects in heart failure. The involvement of the VEGFR2/AKT/eNOS signaling pathways suggests their importance in further elucidating and applying GXST in the clinical treatment of heart failure.

Review Meta Analysis
Relationship of body mass index and kidney outcomes in patients with primary glomerulonephritis: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Primary glomerulonephritis, is a major contributor to the development of chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease. Previous studies on the relationship between overweight/obesity with primary glomerulonephritis in the chronic kidney disease was inconsistent. This study aimed to systematically review and meta-analyze the relationship between body mass index and adverse kidney outcomes in patients with primary glomerulonephritis. ⋯ Overweight/obesity glomerulonephritis patients had remarkably poor baseline clinicopathological characteristics. Being overweight or obesity would likely impact the progression of primary glomerulonephritis but not serious enough to contribute to significant poor renal outcomes, which could be prevented by aggressive therapy.
